Had the most relaxing 3 hours here! My boyfriend gifted me a scrub+massage here and everything was amazing! The ambiance is beautiful, their services were great. They have a hot-tub and multiple saunas where you can relax before and after your session. The scrub and massage were amazing!! Highly recommend this place. They had really good Aveda hair, face and body products to use and get ready at the end. I will be back!
Where have you been all my life? Been wanting to try a Korean spa treatment since forever and finally got to visit this spa recently. Loved this place so much that I want to visit at least once a quarter. The spa provides you with a robe and slippers and plenty of towels around. In addition to the hot tub, cold plunge, dry sauna, and steam room, they also have a clay and Himalayan salt rooms. My friend and I did the 60-minute Silver Bell Scrub + Massage treatment (body scrub, silver oil body massage, hair wash), enjoyed all of it even the "aggressive scrub". They also provide post-treatment toiletries, including hair dryer and hair products. All the staff are also very friendly and welcoming. I look forward to my next visit to Pearl Spa & Sauna!
First timer at this location. I drove 3 hours to get here. I have experienced at least 4 bath houses while living in South Korea, and without hesitation, would recommend this location for quality and cleanliness. It's not the Ritz Carlton but it's everything that you would need without the Ritz Carlton price tag. You cant beat the price. It is CLEAN, no mildew smell (despite all of the water that is used), relaxing, and welcoming. Plenty of vanity space, not overly crowded on a Saturday afternoon, and safe. Complimentary snacks, candy, tea, and coffee available on-site. I did feel a bit rushed when I first arrived despite arriving 33 mins early. A tour of the top side should have been included so I could understand the layout instead of figuring it out myself afterwards. Also, I didnt realize that this spa preference is to be silent (or very very low whisper). All of this was cleared up eventually. Staff was still AMAZING to include the manager who quiet'ed me down. She was very firm but loving and not disrespectful. This was only to ensure nearby massages (which i wasnt originally aware of proximity) were not interrupted. Sound travels of course. Ms. Lee aka Mama Lee is the person who sealed the deal with me on this place!!!! Because of her, I will be back. After taking advantage of the hot tub and sauna for 30 mins, I was called in for my service. I ordered a package (I believe it was called Aveda). I received a body scrub, body wrap, massage, facial and shampoo. I was worried that my hair texture would be a problem... I am a black woman with curly 3C hair texture. I definitely came in detangled. Ms. Lee handled my hair like a Pro! Occassionally, I feel as though similar places use cheap products but I sensed quality every step of my service at Pearl. Also, Mama Lee's hands are magical when it came to the massage (head massage was A1!) The pressure was perfect. She rotinuely checked in with me to make sure the pressure wasnt too hard. I asked for medium pressure and not the traditional deep tissue that I normally experienced while living in SK. No bruising or aches afterwards. (My OPINION, korean style massages are supposed to be slightly painful to release deep tissue tension. Tear the muscles down to gain relaxation and flexability, which is experienced a couple days later. Be clear with the pressure YOU prefer.) Thank you Pearl Spa and Mama Lee! Ill see you soon whenever I travel back to SF!
I came here for my birthday and my first time here with a friend. So so amazing!! We did the Aveda special and the whole experience was phenomenal. The place is super clean and the treatments were so relaxing. We were literally glowing after! The amenities of the place are really good! And they have the whole range of Aveda products once you are done to use and get ready! A must try !!
Near Japantown (thus easy parking), this Korean spa gave us great scrubs followed by sluicing hot water from white buckets, and a firm total body massage. We enjoyed the hot pool with jets, the very cold plunge pool, and the wet and dry saunas. Upstairs were the clay room and the Himalayan salt room. Will plan to return with more girlfriends !
My friend and I made an appointment here while we were visiting San Francisco, and we were so pleased with this place! We got the body scrub, massage, and hair wash. It was amazing and felt so great. The space and amenities were super clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly. We really enjoyed our time here and will be back when we’re in the area again 🙂
Went for my first time here this morning; it was great! The facilities and staff were really welcoming and the scrub was awesome. I had the K-Luxe treatment. I’ll definitely be coming back regularly!
