The first photo was the inspiration I showed to Motoki. The second one was what I got. My hair was under my bust area when I came to his salon. When I told him the front layers are not short enough , he kind of seemed pissed off and said : that’s not what you told me, my next client is waiting . Of course then he cut it unwillingly with an awkwardness. And the styling he did after hair cut was shown below as well. I came here because of all the good reviews obviously they are not accurate. Paid $100 , not returning. I’m sure he is good, but not to my expectations.

Had a wonderful visit to this salon today! Noriko was so sweet and did a great job with my haircut. I'm really happy with my new shoulder-length cut - it turned out exactly how I wanted. Professional service and I'd recommend giving them a try.

I definitely recommend this place. Motoki-san’s haircut and color are perfectly done. I came here with damaged and dried hair, but finally I got such a beautiful style. Thank you always!

1 out of 2 stars is because the first and second visits were sooo good so that I returned for the 3rd time. This time, when I booked the appointment, with no choice, Motoki is the only one that's available; but I had not hesitation to go for it based on my previous experiences and reviews on Google. However, HUGE mistake. I asked for simple layers and shorten the length with no blunt cut. It seemed good on surface, the cut underneath is actually extremely choppy and so uneven, some of my hair underneath were cut extremely short and blunt. Layers were not blending, but just sitting on top. I had to go to another hair dresser for fix, and the 2nd hair dresser was shocked about the cut and how bad it looked. Fortunately, I got it fixed, just have to cut my hair even shorter to fix. I don't know what going on, but for professional hair dresser, how can you cut hair unevenly? very very disappointed.

Best salon experience ever. Motoki was so patient and professional to answer my questions and make suggestions about my hair. He helped me to determined what I want for hair style and the outcome was very satisfying. The hair treatment was a must try that my hair turned out so smooth and pretty. I’m definitely coming back in the future for hair cut and hair treatments. Thanks so much for this wonderful experience.

Would be incorrect to call it an extension of the Japanese hair salon - as the 'chairs' are hired out to stylists. And wow Motoki is problematic and possibly does not recall his training. He doesn't understand color theory and left my hair in an awful condition. I went to another salon to get the color corrected, who were appalled. Does Motoki know how to cut hair? Yes Can Motoki color correct or add depth to hair? No - additionally not able to understand *how to create the change - becomes the crux of a thorough waste of time and money. As it is an odd franchise with separate silos of stylists - there is no manager to raise these concerns.

First time here, so glad I chose this Salon. Motoki San was absolutely amazing. I came with certain ideas for a cut and color and I wanted him to use his instinct for the rest. So happy with the outcome. Everyone has commented how the new look is refreshing and young! Will be back soon! Thank you! Came back again for just color, amazing results! My family will be visiting LA in a few weeks and have booked haircuts for all of them too!
