Fantastic Sams Cut & Color

Josie was absolutely amazing. I get nervous about my hair, especially since it’s short. I am non-binary, and wanted to have something that was versatile but aligned with my personality and style. I did background research on the stylists available and her reviews nudged me to book with her. She was a pro at identifying what I was trying to achieve: a long-awaited investment in going platinum from natural brunette as I transition into a more professional role that my style would complement, while staying true to my identity. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and there is a sense of community in the staff that makes the experience enjoyable from start to finish. For anyone new to this place, I wouldn’t have concerns booking with any of the stylists, whether you’re wanting a specific look or to explore a new style that you might not be able to name without being an expert in the language of the field. Pricing is reasonable, and I didn’t feel oversold on services or products. They were also flexible when I had to reschedule. I have gone back twice so far and will continue as a loyal customer.

I got a haircut from Paloma. I showed her the length I wanted, and she said it was about one inch and cut it accordingly. When I told her I wanted it shorter, she raised her voice and insisted she had already cut one inch as per my request. I asked if it was possible to cut it shorter, and she then did so. At the end of the service, she appeared to apply a product and charged me for a blow-dry service ($40) instead of the haircut ($35) that I had booked. This is downright cheating, and the entire interaction came across as aggressive and manipulative. I still tipped, but the overall experience left me feeling taken advantage of. I hope Fantastic Sams addresses this behavior and holds its staff to higher standards of professionalism and honesty.

Just an absolute bang up job. Josie was terrible today. Tried to fix her mistakes and made it worse. Been going here for years and never seen my hair come out looking like a mushroom. Uneven everywhere. She was disinterested. Smirked when I told her how I wanted my hair. Disrespectful and she knows she did bad

Been having Josie cut my hair multiple times now; she always cuts per my requests which I make beforehand and does so each time with a great mood and warm attitude. Will continue to come back.

Paloma is my angel. She made me so very happy. It's been several days later and I am so pleased with my hair. Paloma is very gentle while cutting my hair and extremely talented. I have made my maintenance appointment to keep this wonderful cut.

Just not happy with my haircut. Showed the haircutter a video of my fresh cut hair. She acknowledged but didn’t remember most of the video. She left me with a mushroom. When I tried to tell her she didn’t understand. We were "lost in translation". Even though I told her which way I style my hair (part and comb to the right) she kept telling me to style it another way and she cut the hair to fit that style she wanted (combed-back). Had to get the hair fixed somewhere else.

Victoria made me look expensive!!!! Will be back. She's my go to hair stylist from now on! I'm so excited I found her. Totally worth the drive. She's so nice, fast, and exceeded my expectations. I also brought my mom, who for her haircut by Sofia who was also super fast friendly and good at listening to what she wanted. These ladies are hard workers and it felt like a private salon, not a typical chain hair place. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! You can't beat the quality and price!!!
