Salon Yangmi

Got my first regular men’s perm here the other day with Amy. Started with a thorough wash and dry, and began the perming process. Only took about 1.45hrs! Staff made me comfortable throughout the entire process with a modern and chill environment! Results are better than I expected so I’ll definitely coming back for maintenance in due time 🙂

Was recommend this place by a korean friend. This is now my go-to place to get a haircut. They offer many services such as perms and cut both men and women hair. The haircut also comes with a wash, which is nice! Staff is also nice and welcoming.

i came in to fix my previous balayage/highlights that were brassy/yellowing. wanted an ash brown color this time and make everything more cohesive. everyone was so kind and accommodating. Hoyeon, the color specialist, was the sweetest and walked me through everything. so happy with the results, absolutely love the transformation. Thank you Hoyeon! ♡

Got my perm done here recently and its so much easier to manage my hair now. Environment was chill and they do a great job answering questions and addressing concerns. Definetly coming back regularly. Thanks again for the perm!

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I wanted to share my experience since I’ve noticed others had similar issues with this stylist. I booked a haircut with Yumi/Yuni and asked for long layers with a subtle V-shape at the bottom, about 3 inches off (I even pointed to the length I wanted, around chest level). My hair was nearly to my waist beforehand, but I left with it cut to just past my shoulders and with very short layers up to my ears. The back looked like a bowl cut, the ends were thinned into an extreme V, and nothing blended. My hair went from full and long to looking like a frizzy mullet/rat’s tail with maybe half the thickness it had before. I couldn’t wear it down, couldn’t put it into any ponytail, and when I tried a bun it was stupidly tiny and stuck out in every direction. I had to go to another salon to try to fix it, but there wasn’t much they could do because of how short and choppy it was. For context, I’ve been going to Yangmi for 5–6 years and have always gotten this exact haircut from other stylists there without any issues. I also speak Korean, so there wasn’t any language barrier or miscommunication. It’s unfortunate I’m giving such a low review because I’ve had great experiences with this salon in the past, but I’m disappointed that these same concerns have been brought up before and it doesn’t seem like they’ve been addressed. Would’ve saved me from having this experience lol. If you’re considering getting layers, I’d recommend booking with someone else.

Super happy with my haircut here. This is my third trip to this salon and each time I come here for a style change not just trimming. They are not the cheapest salon around, but they are worth every dollar. Really professional and knowledgeable stylists, which listens to what you want but will also provide modifications. In my case, I wanted a hair cut almost to the bottom of my ear lopes but the stylist suggested a little longer than that, almost to shoulder. I agreed and absolutely loved the end product!

I refuse to go anywhere else. They REALLY know how to make your hair look and feel good. The entire experience is very relaxing, the salon is super clean, and the staff is highly knowledgeable and professional. I have been going for the last 3 years and I have absolutely no complaints.
