Best salon I’ve gone to! Because my hair is long and on the thicker side, I go only here for my hair even though I live 6 hours away in a different state! Always go here to get my hair dyed and cut from Elly! She is amazing and so quick, but also extremely thorough! My dyed hair lasts for at least 3 months which is what I love! Whenever I get my hair done from Elly, people always compliment how good my hair looks and how they love the color! Highly highly recommend!

I used to give a 20% tip when I came here to get my hair cut, but today I gave her a 50 cash tip after the perm, and she actually said that I gave too little and should have tipped 105. I was going to let my kids and husband split some cash to tip her and the lady who did the hairwash, because I used to give twice every time I came here, and she was so rude. In the end I gave 100, because even if she didn't want it, I would let my kids give it to her in person, because this is America and we need to teach children to tip. And I need to make sure that the tip I give will also go to her assistant, and she just asked me to give 105, I'm really angry and will never go there again!

She had no technique at all — the haircut was done terribly. She ruined my entire look, and there was absolutely no sense of aesthetics.

Horrible experience! What a rude attitude to customer!! She cut my hair so aggressively!! This is my first time having such a bad experience. So bad experience!

I am so outraged by my experience that I am forced to leave a review. 1) I called beforehand requesting a price quote for the Keratin treatment. As the lady started working on my hair, she said she would charge $50 more because I have "long" hair. I have medium/average length hair- who the hell has shorter hair than this? And why didn't she quote me properly during the phone call? 2) Forced 20% tip?! Are you effin kidding me? 20% of $400 is $80. I told her customers are supposed to decide tip amount. This is utter bs. 3) Prices here are HORRIBLE and WAY OVERPRICED. I live in San Francisco, the highest cost of living city in the U.S. They charge less than this place for the same Keratin treatment. That is ABSURD. Chicago people, you are being ripped off. My mom started coming here, but will no longer be returning given this terrible experience that I had. And to the Business Owner, don't just keep apologizing- DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Refund me. And STOP THE MANDATORY TIPPING.

First time to have my hair done at Niles Civic Center location. Great service and the job that they do is excellent. My only complaint is the lady who did my hair insisted for 20% tip. I don't think it's right to do that, she should have waited. And I hope she shared the 20% tip with the other lady who washed my hair who was so nice and knew what shee was doing.
