Mitsuwa Marketplace

Great Japanese grocery store. Mostly food with some ceramics and household goods in the front of the store. There is a small food court on the side of the store with some cool food shops and a good ramen joint. Has some really popular Japanese items like skincare and food. The Alford chocolates are usually sold out so need to buy them quick! Fish is super fresh and tasty.

I thought this location Mitsuwa store was smaller and more cramped than I had expected, and the selection of goods was limited. The food court was also small and offered a limited selection. There weren't any particularly outstanding or unique products either. I like Costa Mesa location better.

With today's grand opening of Tokyo Center, there are much more choices for the people in Irvine to enjoy the authentic Japanese food and cuisines. Hope Mitsuwa can do well as before. There are a few things only available in Mitsuwa, like Joice Chocolate, which we bought as gifts to our friends in the East Coast. We will wait and see.

Japanese supermarket to serve Asian population in Irvine. Beside the regular grossceries, foods, or household items, there are snack counters, food courts, coffee booth for its customers. There might be limited seating during peak time. Clean and well maintained store.

We used to hit up this great place for cheap, quick eats—ramen and tonkatsu were our faves! It gets super crowded sometimes, though, so you'd have to wait for a table.

One of the best Mitsuwa in Southern California! It has a wide variety of groceries, fresh sushi, fresh seafood and pastries. The food court a good selection of Japanese street food. It even has a Daiso inside!

The heart and soul of an authentic native Japanese dish at an unbeatable price. Look at the picture and be assured of its freshness and healthiness. It's self-service, so, do refrain from the unsustainable tipping culture. Resist those TV chefs who insulted our intelligence to pay for their restaurant employees. Tipping is an American form of gratitude - not a (tax free?) compensation of labor.
