Dermatology Specialists of McKinney (Duplicate, to be merged with active listing)

I had the pleasure of co-hosting an educational webinar on miraDry- the one and only FDA-cleared treatment for a permanent reduction in underarm sweat and odor with Dr. Richey. He is incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and clearly dedicated to providing exceptional care to his patients. It is truly a pleasure working with him!

Although my appointment was scheduled 4 mos. out, (unfortunately like most dermatology offices) once I got to the appointment, it was great. The staff is excellent, the facility is clean, the wait time was minimal, the appointment was thorough. I saw Casey Portillo, PA, and she was very thorough in her examination. As well, she was informative, patient, professional, and pleasant. She listened to my questions and concerns, and explained things completely. I have since recommended this group (and Ms. Portillo in particular) to both friends and my husband.

I saw Dr. Girijala yesterday and had to wait about 15/20 minutes past my appointment time (something I think we’re all used to). Dr. Girijala came to the waiting room himself to retrieve me and apologized sincerely, letting me know how important my time is to him. I’ve been to a LOT of doctors and he is the only one I’ve encountered that has apologized for taking my time- let alone apologized sincerely. His high standards for himself continued through the visit as he addressed all of my concerns and gave me the options that were safest for me. Honest answers and thorough explanations. He was even kind and tolerant of my little girl who was wanting him to check all of her scrapes and bruises, too. I wish every doctor could have this standard of care! Additional notes: I’ve also seen Dr. Richey at this practice and he was great, but he books out like a year in advance which is hard to manage. I appreciate seeing doctors and not just their PAs and that wait time isn’t always feasible for immediate concerns.

I have been a patient of Casey’s for a long time. I am very happy with her care. Couldn’t ask for better.
