Comfort Dental State Avenue - Kansas City

Hours of business are not correctly posted on their website, Google or the door. Their phone does not ever tell you they're closed only that the front desk is busy with another patient, it does however say "business hours vary" while prompting you to hit 0 to continue waiting in a never ending loop(I tried this for about 30minutes before just going up there to find out they closed more than 2 and a half hours early!) which is awful, it should redirect you that they're closed if they are infact closed. I was seen this morning for a broken tooth with significant facial, mouth and neck swelling that is painful. We discussed antibiotics so I am able to get the swelling and pain under control to have oral surgery. The doctor went as far as to ask if antibiotics typically give me a yeast infection or not(which is great he is conscious of that for female patients). Only the antibiotics were never called in unbeknownst to me. I only found out when my partner went to go pick them up because driving is difficult for me due to the swelling and pain. Opioids were called in though, which I did not ask for and did not want. I had it noted previously when I've been seen by this location that I do not want pain medication scripts but I'm not sure if they keep their files longterm, I suppose I should have stressed that again. The source of the pain is the infection pocket that is making my lymphnodes swell, pain pills aren't going to make that go away. It's absolutely careless to not send the correct scripts in. They're apparently open first thing Saturday morning and I'll be calling or going up there then. Depending on how the business handles that will determine if this review is updated positively or even more negatively. I liked this location because it's close to home and the staff are generally friendly but this is making me second guess choosing or recommending this location.

Every person I met was super friendly and knowledgeable. All door ways were ADA accessible. I arrived to the cubicle, the technician moved their dentist chair so my motorized wheelchair could fit. Dr. Howard super nice, explained the procedures and answered my questions very professional. For a first time appointment I am super pleased. Treva Ullom

This was our first visit to Comfort Dental, I don't remember the doctors name but he was so nice and explained everything he was gonna do. He made my son feel real comfortable, and the nurse was so sweet, she was joking around and all. Not your usual icky feeling dentist office

Staff was very nice.. and the doc.. made everything possible to make sure i was doing well before during and after the extraction 10/10 highly recommended

Very good experience, nice and friendly staff, most importantly the painful tooth was pulled out quick, easy, and fast and that’s a win for me. Not in much pain either. Thanks to all who help today and I will back for more dental services.

The price for first visit with X-rays was amazing. Everyone was very nice and knowledgeable. Great experience.

This place terrible first time on phone they tell me 7-11 walk ins welcome so I got up 7 sat went there they tell me we’re to busy that’s ok I understand so we can make you an appointment sat 930 cool so I get text day before don’t forget you appt tomorrow then next day730 2 hours before appt don’t forget your appt so I get up out in this snow no cars In lot go up to door and we’re closed cause of weather
