Dr. Roy Eskow and his team at Bethesda District Dental Surgery are fantastic! In my several visits, I never waited more than a few minutes to see the dentist. The office is clean and comfortable with a relaxing atmosphere. While dental surgery is never something to look forward to, Dr. Eskow and his staff made my experience completely pleasant. Dr. Eskow is calm, professional, and highly competent. I have excellent results from the work he completed on my teeth. The staff --- from the front desk to the dental assistants --- are warm, friendly, and helpful. I had a great experience with this practice and highly recommend it to anyone who needs dental care.
I have been going to District Dental for months. My encounters with every staff member has always been positive and professional. I have received top notch care from all the dentists involved in my care and would highly recommend this office for anyone seeking superb dental care.
I have consistently received top-quality professional care from Dr. Eskow and Sara. They go above and beyond standard procedures to accurately identify and treat issues, ensuring that my dental health remains in excellent condition. The office runs smoothly, with staff efficiently managing appointments, paperwork, and payments. Every visit is a positive experience. Many thanks to the entire team—wishing you continued success and good health!
I did not reach to the point of dental treatment by Dr Mahbub but my brief experience has been mind boggling to say the least. This practice is not working with insurance companies which was ok with me as I’ve had out of network dentists before. Though the staff was very friendly, their text reminders about up front pay requirements and 3% surcharge for credit card payments should have flagged their method of operation to me. They asked for $160 for initial consultation and when I didn’t have change they reduced it to $100, the reduction was obviously much more than 3% of $160, very random! They were very upfront with collecting payments, or forcing you to sign an authorization form to proceed with the recommended treatment plan but very slow submitting claims for reimbursement. The paperwork was not filed 4 weeks after the initial visit even though I was told that it had been submitted to receive my reimbursement. When texted the office manager (Kym) with questions, she left me without a response. I’m still trying to get my reimbursement by filing a claim myself and it remains to be seen how that’s going to unfold. This was the administrative part of the story. The consultation for a dental treatment part was even scarier. I went to this practice bc of the location. I had prior knowledge about what type of treatment I needed and went in with certain expectation as to what I was going to hear. Well… I was wrong! Dr Mahbub started with exaggerated periodontal pocket measurements which shook my trust that I needed in my doctor. I knew they were exaggerated because my family dentist of 21 years took them exactly one week prior to my visit to Mahbub’s office. She measured the pocket for the tooth in question 11 mm whereas I was told 7 mm the week prior. It seemed very unlikely that there would be a margin of error for 4mm. Needless to say, my current periodontist had a similar measurement to my general dentist’s a few days after I’ve seen Dr. Mahbub. But she didn’t stop with questionable measurements to prescribe a radical treatment. She, unlike any dentists I’ve seen before and after, referred me to an endodontist to see if there was a crack on the tooth that needed the treatment. Why? If there’s a crack she would extract the tooth and proceed with an implant. This doctor had no interest in saving or prolonging the lifespan of the tooth. She was going through motions as she was talking to me, very mechanical, very cold. I left the place thinking to myself what I witnessed was a money making machine not a doctor’s office. Since then, I had my bone graft placed with a very good prognosis by another periodontist. Though she was doubtful about the longevity of the tooth, she never considered extracting it in the near future.
District Dental Surgery was excellent in all respects. I had an hour’s consultation with Dr. Roy Eskow about getting a dental implant. He was very thorough and careful about giving all necessary information and a thorough exam of all of my teeth, gums, and the area needing either one or two implants. Dr. Eskow has a very reassuring approach and helped me deal with my dental anxiety with being a very caring oral surgeon. I am continuing to write this review after Dr. Eskow completed putting in my two implants. He did very thorough and excellent work in carefully putting in the implants, and patiently explained every step of the complicated procedure. After the surgery he called that evening to make sure I was feeling well and to see if I had any questions. He is truly an excellent oral surgeon and I give him my highest recommendation! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I go to this place every 3 months for cleaning. Sara is a superb hygienist, very detailed, has soft touch, is professional, and caring. Timely, organized, listening. I always look forward to see her
Dr. Tong and Alexus are amazing! Not only are they great at what they do individually, but they make a wonderful team. Came in for a gum graft, and they were very transparent about everything. My gums look amazing and the healing is going very well Great office, people, and service! Additionally, I had a cleaning done by the dental hygienist Sara, and she is amazing as well! Overall, this place is fabulous and I am very thankful to have such a wonderful team of helpers!
