Dr. Ketsela is THE BEST. She is not only an excellent professional but also a great person. She and her team are always kind and treat you as a person. Her assistant, Daniela, is very qualified, and both of them make a great team. The place is always spotless, incredibly clean, and organized. The wait time is minimal. I have been going very often for more than a year, and I have never waited more than 5 minutes to be attended. I had bad experiences before with other dentists, but I stuck with Dr. Ketsela since my first visit. She has done almost six root canals on me, and I will never trust my mouth to anyone else.

Dr. Ketsela is truly exceptional! As someone who's terrified of dentists, I was blown away by her kindness, compassion, and professionalism. She made me feel at ease throughout the entire process, explaining everything in detail and ensuring my comfort. Her gentle touch and soothing demeanor put me at ease, making what could have been a nightmare experience into a surprisingly pleasant one. Her office is sleek, modern, and immaculately clean, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

I had the worst experience here. I went here once for a cleaning and here is the list of things that went wrong: -they claimed they didn't have my paperwork that I filled out and submitted online -they said they could not do a benefits check due to not being able to find my paperwork with my insurance info in advance of the appointment, so they could not verify the cost of services with my insurance; I had previously checked that they accepted my insurance, but I always like office admin to double check benefits prior to appointments. -I denied X-rays and they tried to pressure me into it and proceeded to be super annoyed at me for using my right to deny this service (even though I get X-rays on a yearly basis and had one done somewhat recently). -They said they were going to numb my gums and gave me zero time to react to this and say no...when I asked why they were doing this, they said it is their standard practice to do it for every patient during a cleaning (I have NEVER had to be numbed for a cleaning before). -1 year and 3 months after the appointment, I received a text message that I had an overdue bill. I never received a bill in the mail or any other texts, calls, or emails before this point. I called, and they proceeded to tell me that my insurance denied their claim and that they don't send bills/ bill reminders via email. My insurance was great, and let me know that the provider had made multiple mistakes on the claim paperwork, and that is why it was denied. It took multiple phone calls to Bethesda Dental Smiles and my insurance (and my insurance calling their office) for the office staff to fill out the paperwork correctly. Not once was there an apology or admitting of making a mistake on the claim from the office staff. Every time I called, they were annoyed and disrespectful. Such a nightmare experience. DO NOT GO HERE. You will not be smiling by the end of your experience.

Dr. Ketsela has been a wonderful doctor to my whole family for over 20 years. Her gentle and caring nature, combined with her excellent work, has always made us feel in the best of hands whenever we visit her dental office.
