There are some rude employees at the Ulta in the Danbury mall. My friend and I walk in and we are greeted by an employee who asks if we need any help, we said we were okay (because we knew the exact products and where they were located). Shortly afterwards we realize we are being followed by a different employee. Obviously we are confused so we stop, and she proceeds to say not to open any of the products packaging. We are confused because 1. we definitely did not open any products. and 2. we believe thats wrong and not pleasing for the person buying it. We did not do anything remotely similar. So we say that we didn't and she doesn't say anything but still subtly follows us, and I even think she let other employees know because at least 3 were looking at us weird. My friend and I didn't feel comfortable and decided to not buy the items and go to Sephora, where they don't make it an uncomfortable shopping experience. My friend and I remember that time clearly and never feel joyful when stepping into Ulta.

I ordered items online for pick up. When I opened the package, I realized that the serum and cream I ordered had been tampered with and used. In fact, the serum was not even full, and there was no dropper in the box. What sort of store packs used beauty products for an online pickup? Disgusting. Then, I called the company service line. At first, they said they would handle the issue via email, sent me an email, and asked me to send pictures. I sent the email, and the rep immediately replied that I have to go into the store to get the items replaced.

Ulta @ Danbury Fair mall. Staff was following me around like I was a criminal. As soon as I left the store I regretted making the purchase, so I went to Sephora to buy the exact same products (& more because no one followed me around I was free to browse) and returned the original items to ulta. Go to Sephora instead!! It was about 3 staff members including the store manager on 10/22/2025 in the morning. The girl at the register was kind.

Terrible customer service, very rude manger Tina told me to get back on an hour long line my birthday week for my birthday gift when my family was waiting for me, because her new employee couldn’t find a QR code when I checked out spending nearly $200 and it clearly said it was my birthday on my account, as if they would want to make me a happy customer!

This Ulta store has the most unprofessional, rude, and lazy staff I have ever been encounter with. They do not properly check ID’s when handing out pick up orders and have given away my online orders to other people. This is extremely frustrating because I am still charged for these items. DO NOT place a pick up order ever at this store if you want to be handing out free items to other people. I will never come back here.

I booked an appointment to get a haircut a day before and it worked out perfectly! I had Hailey B. as my stylist and she did such a great job. I usually don’t know what to ask for but she helped me figure out the best haircut for me, in a way that was understanding and kind! She also was easy to talk to and helped me find new products to fit my fine hair. The blow dry (included in the price) left my hair super bouncy and I was really impressed. Would recommend Ulta as it’s an affordable and wonderful option!

I just wanted to make a point to say I had a very good experience at this location. I came in yesterday afternoon, thankfully when it wasn’t crowded and received such great help. My return went smoothly and so did check out. The two young ladies at the desk were very kind. Also, Yvette on the floor was a world of help and easy to talk to. She helped me look into my skincare routine and let me try some really nice products. I did not love having what I think was a rep for one of the product companies keep directing me towards that but I understand it’s their job. Thank you for a good experience, I will certainly be back ❤️
