Lush Cosmetics Danbury Fair

I’ve had two wasted trips to this Lush in two days. Yesterday they closed early at 3 PM, and today I arrived to find the doors locked again. The Danbury Mall website explicitly lists them as open, and I could see two employees working inside—yet when I tried to enter, I was just told to "come back after 2 PM." It is incredibly disrespectful to customers to ignore posted mall hours and turn people away when you are physically standing in front of the store. If you can’t staff the store, update your online hours so people don't waste gas and time. I won’t be trying a third time.

Earlier this year, I went to this location with a return. I had a reusable shopping bag already and plopped the item that I wanted to exchange for it into my bag. A teenage employee saw me (I was not trying to hide anything and very out in the open so clearly not trying to steal anything). The employee told the manager but not in a discrete way at all. So the manager came over to ask if I needed help. I usually decline but I knew what was going on so I said yes to try to ease her worry that I was someone worrisome. As we were talking, she kept leaning forward to try to look in my bag. So I called her out for it and she had a look of embarrassment and shock on her face since she was not expecting me to be so forward. I simply said that I did not steal anything and I know that is what the girl saw and told her and why she is trying to look into my bag. She said how the girl saw me put it in my bag and I was using my own bag and not their baskets. I did not disclose why I do not use their basket but it is usually full of glitter and huge. As someone with back injury, I try not to carry anything big and bulky. I just told her that many people use their own bag and I have gone to many stores and no one has ever accused me of stealing. She could have easily had come over to me and been like "hey the girl saw you put something in your bag, can I get you a basket instead" as opposed to treating me like a thief. Other people I have told that I do not have pleasant experiences at this location have agreed. You can feel the tension when you walk in. I usually go to the one in The Westchester Mall and they are always super friendly.

Lush is absolutely amazing. The quality of the products and the campaigns that they host that go to causes are phenomenal and a good motive to the communities it supports. Absolutely phenomenal staff incredibly friendly and helpful in finding just what you need. Shout out to Jennifer, Robin, and Leah!!!!

Diana at the Danbury Fair Location is incredible!!!! I cannot thank her enough for the time she took explaining each product I was looking for or had questions. Given her history being at the store for 8 years - she is beyond knowledgeable and great at marketing lol! But overall her character and kindness go a long way and makes me want to come back to see her and learn more. Diana thank you for all you do! <3

Walked in and was immediately greeted by Chris Chris walked around the store with me and bagged up the few items I was looking for. It was a quick interaction but it made a great impression! Chris was knowledgeable and helpful

I was helped by a wonderful jazz musician who made the experience splendid, I'm sure my daughter will love the things I got for her this Christmas.

Layne and Sydney were amazing and gave the best recommendations for my kid and sensitive skin. 10/10 recommend!
