As of 2025: Always out of stock of the best items. A handful of employees are kind of rude and snobbish, always talking amongst themselves. Even the manager ignores customers. It seems like the nicer employees are usually the newer ones. When doing online order with in-store pickup, they leave you waiting for awhile before anyone thinks to attend to you. Same thing if you’re the only person in line, no one will come to help you until many minutes have passed and the line begins to grow. The reason I continue to visit this location is simply out of convenience, and that there are some employees who are still courteous and attentive. Initially, when this store first opened, all the employees were kind and helpful. I think they wanted to do something different than the Valley Plaza location, which had many bad reviews of snobby employees at the time. But the longer the store remains open, the more that this rudeness appears as a typical trademark of the Sephora brand. Surprisingly, the VP location has the nicest employees now.
The employees are the most rude and judgmental people I have ever met. They will keep asking you if you need help. Loss prevention. Will follow you around and watch you when they only do this to certain people. They will block your path and that is prohibited by law. You cannot block a person's right to move freely Especially when a person is just shopping and is a guest/customer. It is quite disappointing the whole experience shopping in that store.
I had placed an online order and went to pick it up. I went to the front to the cash register and told the cashier I had an online order. She replied with annoyance in her voice that I was at the wrong spot. She said that she wasn’t suppose to leave the register but she would just to help me as if I was an inconvenience to her. She then asked for my barcode and I said that I did not receive one. She reply in a rather unpleasant tone that I couldn’t get my order without it. I tried to get it on the app but it would not load. I showed her my phone and explain that it was not loading. She then made a big sigh and asked for the confirmation number which I gave her. While she went to the back I was asked by I assume was the manager at the time if I needed assistance to which I replied no. The manager went into the back and soon the girl reappeared with my items and said her you go love. Umm excuse me you were treating me like crap two seconds ago and now you’re all friendly. I mean get you get a new attitude back there or was cause your boss was watching you? I probably will never shop at this location again. Sephora you might want consider re-trading your staff here. Just a thought
Horrible customer service/staff. I just went by the sephora on stockdale in Baketsfield CA. I parked in the curbside pickup to go get an item, but I had pickups at the store next to it too. there were no handicap options and my husband is handicapped so since we were going to be doing both, I thought no big deal. I do understand people use those spots selfishly at times but i didnt expect a store associate to come out and yell at me and embarrass me very badly. I told her the predicament of handicap and she continued to tell me to move. she was so rude and I got in the car crying. my husband was furious and wanted to see the manager but I asked him for us just to leave. I was picking up an order for my mom but I will NEVER shop at that sephora again nor do pickups. I may never shop sephora at all again due to that employee. im regretful I did not get her name. Great attitude during Christmas. thanks for ruining my evening and spirit. I also want to note the pickup sign is only im front of 1 spot, not both. I do know its both spots having been there and used it before, but if I hadn't and was treated that way, it would be even worse. Show less More about me
I and my niece were waited on by two of the most precient beauty advisors EVER; Tori and Aleena 🥰😍😘 who helped us find the most perfect sea salt spray and lip liner! We are pleased as punch!
Lesson learned. Check the products in front of the cashier after purchase before leaving. This morning I bought a merit bronzing stick and once home I see the product was scooped out. I returned in the evening with my receipt for an exchange. At the door I mentioned what happed and why I returned. A red haired associate was very condescending and basically accused me of scooping the product out and returning for an exchange. I was told she was the manager. I am not confrontational but I did state she can check my account and see I have never exchanged or returned a product in the ~10 years I have been a Sephora customer. Poor customer service due to her tone.
when you’re picking up your items in the curbside pick up. Make sure that you are parked in the parking spot for curb pick up ONLY. Even if the app is telling you to write a description of where you’re parked, they will not go anywhere else unless you are parked in the curb pick up. Which I completely understand, but when There’s cars parked there, where are you supposed to park? Wait until they leave ? and I didn’t think it would be a big issue since on the app it does say to write a description of what vehicle you’re driving and where you’re parked I waited and no one came out until I called and I was informed that they will not take out the items to you unless you’re parked in the parking for the curb pick up since their cameras only reach where the curb pick up location is. But what is a little frustrated is that I had to call to confirm if they got my curbside Notification which they did but didn’t see me parked where I was suppose to be and I inform them on the app it gives you the option to put where your located and to put your number. If this is something that they are doing, that’s fine, but maybe they need to put it on the Sephora app or sending notification that you have to be parked in the curbside pick up.
