Blue Geisha Lashes

I received an eye infection from this salon, which I only learned about after a medical appointment. I've been doing lashes for over a decade at different places, and I've never had this issue until I went here. They also don't hold their workers accountable and give you a runaround for just about anything, so if you care about customer service, you’re not going to get it here. They don't care about retaining business, which is unfortunate for them, cause there's a lot of competition in NYC.

I reached out via text to schedule an eyelash extension appointment and initially received a few responses while we discussed the services offered. Everything seemed fine—until I asked about the lash tech’s availability. From that point on, complete silence. No reply, no explanation, just ghosted. For a business that runs entirely on appointments, the person in charge of scheduling seriously needs to go back to school and relearn the basics of communication and professionalism. Ignoring a client the moment it’s time to actually book is not a good look. At this point, even if I suddenly got a response, they couldn’t pay me to go. There are way too many lash techs out there who know how to answer a text and treat people with basic respect.

Extremely disappointing experience, they try to manipulate the customers into paying a higher rate. This place charges premium prices but delivers poor results. My lashes barely lasted a week — not once, but multiple times. When I tried to book a 2-week refill (which would be reasonable given how quickly they fell out), I was repeatedly told they were fully booked, no matter how flexible my schedule was. Conveniently, they always suggested I wait for a 3-week refill instead — at a higher rate. If they were genuinely fully booked, the decent thing would be to honor the 2-week refill price since the issue was on their end. But it’s hard to believe the "no availability" claim when they suddenly have openings if I agree to pay an extra $40 ‘request fee.’ It feels manipulative — as if scarcity is being used to upsell customers rather than provide fair service.

Lashes fell out almost immediately. Blue geisha is closer than my usual eyelash spot. This happened 1-2 days after I got them done. I emailed and asked to fix as soon as this occurred. 7 day fix policy (I got them done Wednesday and was due to return the following Wed)- I said I’m overseas could you please help with an extension in time because I don’t want to come off an 8 hour flight to do eyelashes and in case there’s any flight delay. I was told no and I should’ve booked earlier to leave time for any fixing. Also told me there’s a $45 cancellation fee in 24 hours. I escalated to manager who finally allowed an extra 2 days. By then I decided $193 plus tip (that price is also 30% off) was not worth this level of service. I declined. A week later they offered full set at infill price. Tbh I shouldn’t have to pay for anything. I’ve been getting extensions for 5 years. It’s never fallen out like this before. I’ve attached pictures to compare Blur Geisha and my regular spot. Both around 1-3 days post full set. 1 star for spacious clean area. 1 star for east text communication. Other than that it’s a no from me. $$$$

Comfortable when putting lashes on as my eyes are really sensitive. I ordered the classic 100pc. It’s really pricey and falls 20 pc a day. Almost all my lashes fall off in one week. Besides, I don’t like the esthetic of how the lashes are put on. It doesn’t look good. My eyes look drowsy….i will not come back

One of my friend introduced blue geisha so i got my very first lash in here- My eyes are really sensitive, i didn’t really think about to get lashes in my life but after i got these lashes, my whole make up routine has been changed. I dont have to put on much effort on my make up as much as before cuz its already so pretty and ready to go. Every artist are so stunning. I love so much, thank you!

Amazing service each time I go! This review is a little late but it deserves 10 stars. This is the only lash salon I will visit in NYC. I’ve been getting lash extensions for years now at various places and at some point developed an allergy to the glue. Blue Geisha is the only salon where this does not happen. I don’t know what they do differently, but I do know they’re very meticulous with the entire process: the prep, actual extension, and touch up. I’ve also worked with different artists here over time and the service + quality have always been consistent. Oh and the lashes…. THEY’RE THERE TO STAY!! As long as you also do your part and try your best to maintain, those lashes last a solid few weeks. So glad to have found a place where I can just go and relax knowing what to expect everytime (beautiful lashes!!), instead of worrying about how it’s gonna turn out or having to search for a new place to try.
