This store's deli pick up fridge has been down since summer (food safety issue?). Customers are forced to partially enter passed the employee deli counter (food safety issue?) just to hopefully be acknowledged and ask for your order, which by the way is ready maybe 50% of the time. The carts are trash. One out of ten work. Probably throw aways from neighboring Milford. Self checkout is like a game if bumper cars. Zero space trying to access the two or three working registers. Giving two stars only because of the good people working here but management and owners don't care obviously.

I’ve been to this location a couple of times there has been a number of times where employees have been rude to me. There are some really kind ones there though. I usually shop for my self and don’t do the pick up but was recently so busy that I decided to place an order online and pick it up. Most of my order was correct, but I did receive bad produce, like about to expire produce, I had to end up throwing away half a container of blueberries because they were moldy or about to be.

This shoprite is big, clean and beautiful in comparison with shoprite of Fairfield, stratford, or Stamford. My controversy is that the self checkout wasn't working very well when I was there.

Was Shopping here on 0427/2025 at approximately 7:55 am. I was standing by the lemons, limes and apples trying to shop when this store employee decides he wants to stand directly behind me, box me in with the uboat and keep huffing and puffing as if he wanted me to hurry up and move. I asked him if he could give me some space because he was too close and I don’t like people standing over my back and he just stood there staring me down. He has a nasty spirit and nasty customer service. This man made me uncomfortable and ruined my shopping experience here & I won’t be coming back. I left everything in the cart… I was standing behind my cart and as you can see in the picture where he is standing. I didn’t appreciate being hovered over and boxed in by a stranger, breathed on, and rushed. I had to push his uboat out the way so I could get out & take a picture. He never apologized, moved or said excuse me. I know a person with a nasty spirit when I encounter them & this man needs to be fired. Soon as I take the picture he walked up on me saying "you take my picture? Why?"… now all of a sudden you know how to speak and got something to say? You are being reported.

Going to the deli counter here was the most traumatic experience I've had in public in years. One of the two deli workers during the evening shift harassed me for absolutely no reason. I was standing in line for almost a half an hour, the line was moving slow (three people including myself) and when it's my turn I ask for the meat I want and they were out of it. So I asked the deli worker if I could call my father to ask him what his 2nd choice would be. The worker tells me he's got customers to serve. Fair enough, I go to the back of the line. I wait in line for another 20ish minutes. While waiting I can swear I hear one of the workers referencing me calling my dad while talking to a customer, I write it off, why would anyone do that? Then finally it's my turn, I go up to the worker closest to me but the one working further away randomly calls out to me "Hey man, it wasn't cool how you were really angry back there" Now I'm utterly confused, I have not said anything other then my initial order, did not give any rude looks or anything, so I try to reasonably explain I wasn't angry, try to go over how I waited in line like he told me to without complaining, minding my own business. Without responding to what I said he just tells me "you're angry man" and I reiterate how I didn't say or do anything to suggest I would be angry. He says again, "you're just angry man" I say "well you're randomly harassing me so I'm defensive, I just asked to know what I did" The guy then GETS OUT FROM BEHIND HIS STATION, WALKS RIGHT UP TO MY FACE, and I begin to panic because now it seems to be becoming very confrontational. He just tells me in an angry voice while staring "just let me work man, just let me work" while he's the one physically confronting me. Now I really want to get out of here, so I say "good, I just want my meat" and then he seems to go back behind the desk and calm down a little. The other worker takes my order and genuinely seems like a nice guy. I get my meat without further incident and report him to the manager, who also seemed nice. Just can't get over the deli worker physically confronting me, walking out at me while insisting I was angry. Been anxious and confused ever since this happened. Not exaggerating when I say this is probably the worst service I've ever received AND the worst experience I've had in public in general in years, never had a confrontation like this period, let alone over deli meat. ShopRite of Orange if you can please look at the recordings of the deli counter from 7-8 PM on 9/6 you will see the guy coming out to confront me, a lone customer at that point. I hope the deli section at the very least gets proper training. Also I really don't care, but considering the entire deli section reeked of weed, I think the man in question may have just been high, and that alone should tell you something I think. Seriously don't get why any of this had to happen and it ruined my weekend. Been thinking for a while about what I could've done to set him off, but even if he thought something about me he should've kept it to himself, let alone start an altercation over it. incredibly unprofessional.

This like a one stop shop for all your groceries and Confectioneries. The staffers are courteous and very responsive. I had a great day shopping here today. They also have great discount especially when you’ve got their Shoprite Card and I was able to sign up today for a new card. There’s a wheelchair accessibility entrance and and parking. Also this Shoprite can be easily noticed from a vehicle in normal traffic.

I just spent 40 minutes in ShopRite and only got one item off my list. I always do my grocery shopping on Saturday which is no longer ideal because the sales always end on Saturday and this is the second time in the past few months that Salmon was on sale and there was no one working who knows how to skin the fish not even the manager Gabe who has been working there for years. First I waited at the seafood department looking for some assistance. Saw Penny a worker walking by and I said excuse me several times but she ignored me so another shopper (minority) who is closer to Penny says excuse me. Penny screams "what", the other shoppers near by are all shocked at her tone. I ask if she can me get someone in the seafood department. Penny yells again telling me to walk up to the customer service desk. I ask her if she is on the clock and if so why can’t she help me. She starts whaling her arms and walks away. Me and the other customers are in disbelief so I walk up to customer service desk and her and another employee are talking about me so I ask for the store manager who was pleasant but when I returned to the seafood area the asst manager was back there because they were short staffed and didn’t know how to skin the fish so I requested a rain check which he denied me because he had the fish in stock but couldn’t prep it for me so with limited his problem solving skills and seafood department skills he gave me two options to buy it not how I wanted it or miss out on the sale price. Now I have to go home pack my cooler with ice and try to find a further location with skilled employees/ management. I look forward to speaking with Amy tomorrow. Planned on shopping for the week but only bought one item because of my experience. Unexceptable!!!
