Store is always clean. People are really nice. You feel welcome when you come to shop. Only problem is the parking everybody comes to the parking spot and cross the street to go to Wells Fargo or Trader Joe’s

This place is a gamble. You never know what will be in stock. If you’re getting food in bulk and non perishables, it’s a good choice but for your own good DO NOT get any producer here. I’ve seen fruit with bugs all over them and mold on their produce. You’re better off going to the nearby Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods for produce

The WORST place to buy food! BUYER BEWARE! The only reason I bought half n half there was because TRADER JOES lights were out!! NEVER GOING BACK!!!

The employees are not professional enough to open the store on time at 6:00 am it is now 6:24 am and have been waiting while customers are being turned away.

Love this store. Would usually give it five stars. This review is for this shopping trip only. Went in on first day of sale, new ad, to get the chicken leg quarters on sale. Was told they didn't have them yet! Not having the sale item on the first day of the ad ! ! ! Bought 2 fresh fruit bowls that were on discount. They charged me the regular price, and had to come back in to get my 50% discount. Their usually excellent customer service is lacking.

I love buying in smart & final but this branch’s vegetables are often rotten, way beyond their due date, I mean packages of greens that are ROTTEN, shrunken cucumbers… And they sell it!

While waiting to pay for my items I asked the cashier Kenia, if she could break a $100 bill. She said she could for as long as I don’t mind it in fives and singles, to which I responded I don’t mind. Then she said she couldn’t do it because she’d be out of change. So why did she agree to it to begin with??? So I paid for 2 out of my 3 items with a credit card and wanted to pay for the remaining item in cash with the $100 bill. She said she couldn’t accept it because I’d take all her change. I said she can’t refuse my method of payment for no legitimate reason so she called her manager, Israel to come out. He came out and confirmed that he wouldn’t take my cash to pay for the item. Keep in mind this is not a possible fake bill situation because they hadn’t even handled the bill yet. Anyway I told Israel that the cashier first agreed to give me the change in fives and singles, probably expecting that I would decline. When I didn’t, she retracted the offer. So I said for one that’s not right, had she said no from the beginning, I would have been fine with it. Second, they can’t refuse my method of payment just because it doesn’t suit them. His response was that he can say and do whatever he wants because he’s the supervisor. I ended up paying for the item with a credit card and walked over to Trader Joe’s across the street where the employees are professional and have integrity. Just like that I got change from a cashier who made me feel valued. Smart and Final staff basically ganged up on me and tried to humiliate me in front of other customers. They even put the item I was trying to purchase next to the register as if they anticipated that I was going to grab it and run. Had they been nice about it, I wouldn’t be writing this review. I mean I get it, they’re a business and they need the change. Maybe they were running low and I wouldn’t have wanted to wipe them out of all their change as a courtesy to other customers. But it was the way they went about it and how they treated me that made the experience appalling. Israel and Kenia are so far from being decent human beings, let alone customer service staff, that they’re just laughable.
