Prices could be a little lower for everyone and maybe even feeding people Thursday event to show how much they care for society. Something to give back to the people as thank you for profit. Once this happens it would be perfect 👌

Ralphs on La Brea is a bit of a paradox—in the best and most LA way. The parking lot is tight and often chaotic, with plenty of… let’s call them colorful dynamics in the mix. The energy outside can feel a little intense, but once you’re through the doors, it’s actually a solid, well-stocked grocery store. Inside, the space is bigger than it looks from the street, with a wide selection of produce, pantry staples, frozen goods, and specialty items. The staff is helpful and generally kind, even when the vibe outside suggests they’re bracing for anything. The pharmacy over-the-counter section is oddly cordoned off highlighting the real need here for safety - like more "secured zone" than "cold and flu aisle," but you’ll find what you need. An armed guard stands post near the entrance and while that might feel excessive at, say, a Gelson’s, here it strangely fits. It’s a place that serves the community—eclectic as it is—and despite the outer chaos, Ralphs La Brea holds it down with consistency, good prices, and a sense that yes, this is LA in a nutshell. Four stars for functionality wrapped in a little grit.

Great store, and excellent service, but the parking is gnarly. If you don't mind driving around for parking for 20 minutes it's a great store. Maybe there's additional parking. Much better than the Ralph's on Western by. Long shot.

AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS!!! I just showed up to this store to get some seafood, and I decided to get a whole Branzino fish so I gently asked the workers there to PLEASE clean the scales, but was this old short man MANNY who aggressively and disrespectfully replied: NOOO NO NOOOO DON’T ASK THAT HERE!!!!! I was shocked how rude was his interaction with me but I really didn’t wanna make a big deal calling the manager, specially because I felt how uncomfortable turned the situation for his young co-worker. I didn’t ask for a favor, IT IS LITERALLY HIS JOB; in ALL RALPHS I’ve been to they clean the fish scales because that is not a job that someone could easily do at home, pure laziness and rudeness of this old man. I work at customer service too and that is definitely not the way to respond a client, even if MANNY couldn’t do it because of Store Politics and Rules that is not a correct way to respond to someone. LAZY AND RUDE SERVICE!

This is busy location but is 1) a clean store, 2) the staff are easy to find to assist with inquires and most importantly are actually happy to help, and 3) checkout is usually a quick, stress-free process.

Some Ralph's temp security guard, who is a very obvious tiny wannabe cop with an authority issue, grabbed me, then came at me yelling all aggressively because I had my headphones on and hadn't heard his personal "Bag Check" rule!? I asked him to repeat himself because this was my first time hearing of this rule and I hadn't heard him clearly. For some reason this set him OFF. Why did he even want to check my bag ENTERING the store in the first place? To go through MY items!? Shopped here at least 50 times and this was the first I'd ever heard of this rule. Asked the security if he was a cop or something and he wouldn't answer LMFAO, which says everything about this guy and what his issue is. Talked to a Ralph's employee standing outside, and this REALLY enraged the wanna be cop for trying to supercede his "authority". The employee I asked was a bearded rotund man and was absolutely useless. Called management and, luckily, a manager I'm familiar with with was on duty (pretty sure his name is Joel) and he's a really cool guy who knows me, and that this is my local grocery store. He's seen me buy my usual fare here all the time. We talked for a bit and he made me aware that this is a new thing from some temp security agency they're trying out, and that that little temp security guy has a real anger problem and escalated things for no reason. I will never shop at ANY Ralph's or Kroger establishment, if that kind of failed cop, who will abuse any modicum of authority, is who they hire for security. And I will make sure the same goes for all my family and friends. He was very angry, aggressive, and has obvious issues with his perceived "authority". It's only a matter of time before this happens again with this guy, or worse. He took pictures of me, gestured at me and even came up to me on the public sidewalk to say I had to leave because I was "harassing" while on the phone with corporate. Take me to court pal, let's see how that stands up. The only reason I'm ever coming back to this store is because the manager was such a reasonable and understanding guy, and to make absolutely sure that ridiculous little temp security man never works there again. The usual security officer (who is an actual police officer) is a very reasonable, knowledgeable, and understanding guy. But they have to figure something out quick with this particular temp security guy, be very careful until they get rid of him. Update: I have still have not heard the promised call or email follow up from corporate. They told me they would update me and I gave them all of my contact info. It looks like I'm going to have to keep following this up myself, so don't expect anything to change or to kept informed unless you keep inquiring.

This store is our favorite to go to when in LA. It has everything under the sun to eat. Hot food is fresh and always on point. The gentleman behind the food court are always helpful and have a nice smile for all customers. The sandwiches premade are delicious and there are so many choices you find yourself standing there for 20 mins trying to decide. Store is clean and all staff friendly and helpful
