Mila did a fantastic job of cutting my hair! She is friendly, listens to your needs and gives great tips on the type of cut that suits your hair type! Will definitely be going back. She even fixed a disaster haircut I had done at another salon within 20 mins! Highly recommend her, she is a lifesaver!

Yes Mila is a wonderful stylist and hair artist. She knows what she is doing and fixed my long layers, blending them nicely, after a bad cut somewhere else (not an in expensive place either) where they gave me unblended "shelf" layers and damaged my fine hair with thinning shears. She knew how to help, understood the issue and made my hair look blended and smooth, taking her time to get it right and not taking too much length in process (just as I asked). So glad. I know it will continue to grow out beautifully now!

I love coming here. I have been going to Mila for years now and there is not a time where I'm not satisfied. She cuts and colors my hair and takes her time and listens to what i want and performs it perfectly! I bring my husband and kids as well and they are always satisfied with their haircuts! I can't say enough good things about Universal Hair Salon or Mila, who I've been going to see for more than 10 years. I started out with Mila when she cut hair down in the East Village, and I followed her uptown because she's that good. Always a fantastic haircut—and she's super friendly and easy to schedule appointments with. Strongly recommend—especially for other male clients looking for scissor cuts.

You get a lot for what you pay for. I got my hair washed, cut, and styled for $45. She saved my damaged hair and was very sweet to me.
