Safeway

Spoke with manager over summer about how the understaffing at his store was making shopping there very unpleasant. He said he was taking steps to improve staffing. He has done nothing! Today I waited thirty minutes which is about average these days waiting in line. Due physical disabilities each time I ask the bagger to not make bags heavy. They ignore me. A perfect example from today is three 64 oz creamers and a carton of ice cream were put in the same bag. I could barely lift it. They don’t care or give a crap and just toss whatever in bag until full. Today was the last straw. After ten years shopping at the country club Safeway I am calling it quits. Management cares nothing about even the small things like spending an hour or two teaching employees how to bag properly. The constant and chronic under staffing continues on and on. Good riddance country club Safeway. There are not these problems at the other Safeway in town or at Savemart either. I will take my approximate $10,000 a year shopping dollars to a business that gives a crap about customer service. That store is a disgrace. I would like to give high props to Fatih who is a long time employee who has always been consistently kind and always helpful to me every single time I have been in the store. For her alone I would give a five star review. Thank you Faith.

Poorly run store with mostly unhelpful staff, although I am sure if you look at my account you would think I am super happy with the store because one of the female store managers of asain decent goes around the self check out marking the survery scores at 10 out of 10 for as many customers as she can and says something like " here let me set you up so you can enter your phone number" total scam to pad the scores which I am sure would be quite low as several of the cashiers are rude, managers are not eager to help with much, pharmacy tech gives false info and misses prescriptions often and their bags are broken at the handles but no one seems to care or get them replaced.I honestly try to never complain and I never leave bad scores because you have staff members like the ones at deli and hot food station who are ALWAYS amazing without fail and there is one blonde cashier who also has started helping out behind the customer service desk who is truly so sweet I have even seen her help people pay for their groceries but after yet another issue at the store where my $100 safeway egift card was not allowed to be used at the store because of new policies and the staff could truly not care less about helping me I have had enough and want all those fake 10 out of 10 reviews removed.

I ordered online & picked up 7/23/24 brussel sprouts, avocados and broccoli. Safeway on Country club Blvd, Stockton. 7/24 (today) I went to make the sprouts as I was cutting the ends to open them. Tiny little worms and black eggs started coming out, as I observed the 2 lb I had purchased. All of them were contaminated. I called Safeway 7/24 @ 7:05 pm, and spoke to the night time manager. She assured me she was going to pull the brussel sprouts but because other products are exposed I told her she would need to pull all the produce next to the sprouts. Don't buy no produce. Check the produce before you leave. I had Safeway employees do my shopping. 🤮 12/24 bought the Safeway select seasoned fries. I took them out of freezer January 18th (3 weeks later) to make and several fries were covered in mildew.

I love Safeway but can only afford Food 4 Less...when I do go to Safeway I always think it must be nice to be able to afford to shop at Safeway on a regular....I respect my Mother that much more(she wouldn't shop n e where else)

I had a good experience Here at Safeway Safeway has so much good stuff a lot of good juices and Breads and soups and cakes and vegetables the store is very clean it's not too crowded at all it's very organized and very clean the employees are very kind and helpful to their customers always concerned if we found everything okay let's just say you want to take Grandma for a nice day of shopping and you want to get her some soup or bread or something whatever she likes Safeway will have it I guarantee it and the store is also very sanitary as soon as I walked in there was a little station cleaning station right there with hand sanitizers to wipe down the baskets and everything also paper towels. This place also has wheelchair accessible parking handicap parking curbside pickup and delivery right at your convenience thank you Safeway on Alpine Avenue I recommend this to every Shopper that is looking for good groceries and good produce I'm looking forward to coming here again with my family and friends for another good day of shopping thank you so so much I will post up photos to for you and I also have given you a 5-star review thank you for your kindness have a good day

Safeway is an upscale shopping experience. It is a beautiful store a little on the pricey side. There is a Starbucks conveniently located inside as well as a pharmacy and deli sandwich and hot food counters. Beware there is an abundance of shoppers now so the lines have been ridiculous lately. Best note: 5 dollar fridays! Always great deals! Oh also there is a Dmv registration automated system kiosk where you can pay your registration and get new tags. There is 2 Atms inside thr front. There is only one handicap buggy left so be prepared....And last but certainly not least wear your mask or be ejected.😷🤗👍

I haven't stopped Safeway in over a year now, I live about four blocks away, because of the many times that I went to purchase an item and it was priced wrong on the shelf, I was told by the clerk that I should look at the scan on the package and the scan on the shelf to make sure that they match [this is something that no shopper would ever do, is check every item] so after many times of mispriced items and no help from the management I had to give up on Safeway for I think that their only goal is to make profits and a lot of this profit is from mispriced items, that you 🤔 buy daily, I haven't had any problems with pricing at the new shopping center, Walmart.
