Ovation Dental: Karl Shao DMD (formerly Thomas Orazio DMD)

Dr Orazio was my dentist for years and while I was sad to see him go he deserves all the best in retirement years. He made sure to leave his practice in the hands of a wonderful dentist. Dr Shao is great. Very personable, patient, gentle and everything you'd want in a dentist. The office staff and hygienists continue to be top-notch. Will always highly recommend Ovation Dental.

We have gone to Dr Orazio for years and were sad to see him retire but Dr Shao is wonderful! He fixed my broken crown, I’ve had my teeth cleaned by Samatha who is excellent and the overall experience has been great! In addition, my husband is a difficult patient and Dr Shao worked with us to arrive at an outcome that he could achieve then Ashley and Samantha preformed the needed care! All are fantastic and the office staff Debbie, Rebecca and Lexi are the best ever! You’ll do very well making Dr Shao and his team your dental home!

I had a great experience at Ovation dental! The office was very clean and welcoming from the moment I walked in. The staff were friendly, professional, and made me feel comfortable right away. Dr. Shao took the time to explain everything he was going to do, which really helped ease any nerves. You can tell he truly cares about his patients. I was disappointed when I learned that Dr. Orazio was retiring and a new dentist and staff would be taking over the practice. But I have been pleasantly surprised! My impression is that they are maintaining the same high level of competency as that of Dr. Orazio. And the staff all seem warm and welcoming.

I was bummed when Dr. Orazio retired and wasn't sure if I could find someone as talented and personable as him. Well, Dr. Shao is that guy. He's extremely talented and very easy to talk to if you have any questions or concerns. With him and his great team, you simply cannot go wrong choosing Ovation Dental. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Shao and his amazing team! From the moment you walk into the office, you're greeted with a genuinely welcoming atmosphere—the space is clean, modern, and calming. It immediately puts you at ease because going to the dentist can be scary! What really stands out is how up-to-date and high-tech everything is. Beyond that, what really keeps me coming back (even with a bit of a drive!) is the level of care and attention they give. Dr. Shao always takes the time to create a treatment plan that’s tailored to me. He prioritizes what's most important each year, making sure nothing ever feels overwhelming or rushed. It's a very thoughtful, flexible approach that I really appreciate. I’ve never felt pressured to do things a certain way. It's always my choice for my care but he gives me the information I need to make those calls. It’s so worth the drive knowing I’m getting genuinely good care. Will be coming back in a few months!
