Mellow Mushroom Auburn

Visited Mellow Mushroom on Friday night for a casual meal with friends and family. We were told the wait time would be around 30 minutes. It ended up taking closer to an hour to be seated. I saw person after person go into complain to the hostess about the extended wait. She was the sweetest and was incredibly apologetic to all. The team was hustling and I watched everyone pitch in to serve the seated customers. Once seated, we were served by Alston. I cannot possibly convey how awesome he was! Super attentive, fun and, genuinely, one of the best service experiences I’ve had in a LONG time (I will say I just got back from Walt Disney World last week, a company known for superior service). We had such a good time with Alston, we came back on Saturday just for an appetizer and some cocktails. We were sat with Alston again! Great restaurant, fantastic food and even better service!

The new white sauce is so good!! Alston and Sally were great! The kitchen accidentally messed up our pizza but remade it for free. Excellent customer service!

Tonight was our 2nd to-go order with Mellow Mushroom Auburn. The first time pizza was way done on one side and pretzel bites were burned. We gave the location a benefit of the doubt because we typically love MM food. Tonight, we decided to place another to go order, hoping for a better outcome and an issue with an order again. This time, we ordered 8 count mellow rolls, which were amazing btw, however, the box only included 4, and not the entire order. Sooooo, this is 2 for 2 messed up orders. What gives? At this high price point, I would really have liked to be able to get what we pay for.

As a fellow employee of another Mellow Mushroom...I can't say I was impressed. The inside was small, cramped, but still cool regardless. Nothing against the building or location. My biggest irk is how my service was from my server and even the manager when I ultimately ended up asking for him. Presuming the mellow standard is met, we as servers are supposed to introduce ourselves when going up to tables, my server didn't do that. No name, no hey, just what can I get you to drink. Something I personally at my store would neverrrr be allowed to get away with. Their syrup for the sprite was out, and in all fairness our server was very quick when replacing it and bringing a new drink. My family and I ordered, my mom had gotten the Cobb on a spinach base. Over half the spinach was slimy, wilted, and honestly should have seen the trash before seeing a table...we discovered this only after our server just gave thumbs up to make sure we were okay, not bothering to come to the table or anything like that.. just right by the server counter. We had actually needed her for something but she just walked away. This is when I personally asked for a manager and explained why I wanted him, for the salad that wasn't even edible and to comment on the service that my own managers wouldn't even approve of from me... The manager came over, heard me out for the salad, and while I was going into the service, he literally walked away from me. Proving my point on the service. Because how, as a manager of all people, are you going to walk away from a customer knowing they are NOT done talking to you. I like that I can say I've been to this location...but that's all I gained, I should have saved the 30 min drive and just gone to my store...saved the disappointment..gone somewhere where we pride ourselves on our service and making sure customers leave happy and not pissed off.... In conclusion, if you want wilty, slimy, sad salads...and shitty service where even a manager thinks it's okay to walk away from a table, the auburn location is perfect!!

I have two favorite food items at Mellow mushroom, and neither of them are technically the pizza (even though the pizza is so good!). Mellow probably has the best calzone in town, like the ricotta in there is *chefs kiss* and you get to dip it in their Mellow sauce (ask for extra haha). But the real shocker here is that I am 99% sure that the best wings in Auburn are found here. I cannot attest to all flavors, but the cloud 9 wings are all the flavors you've ever desired all at once. Also vibes here are 10/10 for the colorful hippie nature-themed art that I love. Keep on rocking Auburn Mellow!

Great spot in downtown Auburn! Lots of varieties of beers on tap, attentive and lively staff, and pizza options are diverse and tasty.

Mellow Mushroom Auburn exceeded expectations with a delightful dining experience. Opting for the Lunch Pick 2, I relished the fresh and crisp Little Caesar Salad paired with the indulgent Garlic Cheese Bread. The flavors seamlessly blended, offering a satisfying start🤜🤛 The pièce de résistance was the Large Pizza featuring The Merry Prankster and Kosmic Karma in a harmonious half-and-half arrangement🤤 The crust achieved the perfect balance of chewiness and crunch, while the toppings were generous and vibrant. The Merry Prankster's carnivorous medley contrasted superbly with the eclectic veggie mix of Kosmic Karma👍 Although the portions were substantial for three adults, the quality overshadowed any concerns. Every bite resonated with taste and quality ingredients😁 The commitment to excellence in both service and cuisine ensures Mellow Mushroom Auburn's place on my list of favorites. I look forward to returning, eager to explore more of their diverse and delicious offerings🤍
