We went here for a Sunday at 10:30am mass in April. It was PACKED because I think it's the only Catholic Church in the area. We arrived and had the option to be seated with the help of an usher. He said there wasn't room for 5 together, so we walked towards the front left by ourselves. We couldn't find a spot for us to sit together, which I did not like. They could have made an announcement to have everyone scoot towards the middle of the pew. We weren't late either. The front wall list of book page numbers for the songs was too small to see in the back section of pews. The pews did have enough room inbetween each and the kneeler was comfortable. They allow you to give the collection offering in cash, check, venmo, or card. They have QR codes in the pews. They have the Saint Augustine Hymnal for the readings and songs and they are in the pews. The choir was good but not very loud. They have a piano and an organ. I was surprised they didn't have more members in the choir considering its a college town and the church was packed. The version of mass they sang was not the 5 that I know. We sang 3 songs for communion, which I've never done and I didn't really know them very well. The congregation does sing. We only sang 2 verses at the last song and it was being played too slow for the closing hymn. We are in the the choir at our church in Ohio. It's week 5 of Easter and the church was decorated with fall colored flowers and a random hydrangea. There was a big parking lot. But it took a while to get out of the lot, which is understandable. They had police helping the members leave the lot.
Wonderfull church led by an excellent Pastor. Church is vi brant and pews are packed every Mass. Active congregation with multiple support, vocational and interest groups. Highly recommend!
Drove by to check out the Catholic Church first time ever in Auburn. It was very nice little outside downtown and will definitely be back when I’m visiting my niece who’s a student at the university God bless.
We came to Auburn in 2019. Our boys were middle school aged and our daughters started in the school. I can't say enough good things about what Trail Life and CYO did for our sons. They were new and it was challenging but ultimately the have grown into great men and the Church and community are a huge part of that growth. Our daughters love the school and as a family we are edified each week at Mass. One of the best parishes I have ever been a part of.
St. Michaels is a very welcoming Catholic church. This is the only Catholic church in Auburn, so there are usually a lot of people at mass. I recommend getting there at least 20 minutes early for mass, and definitely even earlier during game weekends due to limited parking and to give sufficient time to find a spot to sit. There is mass in English (daily), Spanish (weekly), and Korean (monthly if I recall correctly).
Amazing parish! The people are wonderful and you know God is present here.
Beautiful church and very spacious.
