Still feel bad about the haircut 3 months after. The stylist likely tried to cut layers but the results turned to be looking messy like my hair is ate by a dog. Should have not added the $25 tip on the $80 - didn’t like the result and time didn’t help.

Amazing service and experience! My stylist Ikumi did an excellent job. I had a few questions about dying my hair and she explained to me how I can do that with them and some basic things to expect. She was very knowledgeable and kind. I have been looking for a Japanese salon for a while now and I’m so glad I found this salon. I wish I found them sooner!

This is a late response from a hair appointment I had back in December (2023) while vising family on O'ahu. I booked my appointment with Yama and without exaggerating, it was one of the best experiences I've had at a hairdresser. From the moment I stepped into the salon (even calling to book my appointment, which whomever the young woman I spoke with made it easy and was able to accommodate me merely three days later), Yama and the rest of the M-IRROR Salon team treated me with utmost grace and propriety. Yama, as a stylist, is a rarity because he truly seems to have a passion for his craft; and even before he touched a single product or tool, he spent at least 5 minutes analyzing my hair and pointing out flaws I hadn't even noticed from my last stylist. Afterwards, Yama spent the next 2 - 3 hours working his "magic" on my hair and gave me one of the best layered cuts ever (I'd even say the cut and color looks even better almost 2 months after). I say "magic" lightly, because it would be insulting to reduce Yama's years of dedication and skill to mere sorcery. Anyway, I am back in Germany now and wish I had won the lottery so I could buy a ticket to Hawai'i every few months to get my hair done at M-IRROR. Please do not hesitate to book your next hair appointment here, you will not regret it!

Finally found a good hair salon that delivers!!! Went for a cold perm and a haircut and couldn’t be happier with the result. Ikumi was amazing!! We chatted about what style I wanted and she gave me her recommendations. She was patient, SO SO nice and gentle. Very happy with Mirror salon! Highly recommend it!!

This place is so fantastic. Everyone is so helpful and Yama Chan is like, the coolest person ever and an amazing stylist. Working from home the past 6 months and the kids schooling from home as well, I needed to simplify. My hair was crazy long and out of control. I had my hair cut into a slightly angled choppy bob and had the permanent hair straightening done. I literally wash and my hair dries exactly like I want it to be. It has cut so much time and work and stress out of my weekday. I could not be more thankful.

Moved to Oahu in December of 2022, and could not find a salon willing to call me back or book new clients. FFWD TEN MONTHS (looking like cousin IT), I found M-IRROR, recommended through someone in my neighborhood. I booked a layered cut and color with Yama, and I am sooooooo happy with the job he did. He took his time evaluating my hair and gave me a thorough consultation before starting. Let’s just say- He KNOWS hair and knows how to work those sheers! As a military family we move around A LOT, and I can honestly say this is a rare find. I felt like a life long client and friend. The salon is VERY clean, easy parking and most of all Yama, made me feel comfortable and delivered the hair style better than I could’ve ever expected! This will be my salon as long as we live here!! Got my Japanese hair straightening done here and it came out amazing. I have thinner strands but thick hair and I'm Hawaiian, white, Filipino with wavy frizzy hair. I get this done in NYC and it was better here! Ikumi Marker was THE BEST and so professional. Definitely recommend
