I have been to other similar type Korean restaurants, all you can eat or korean specific dishes. First time I came, I was blown away by the flavors!!! My daughter really likes all types of Asian cuisine and we loved this place. We tried the Korean fried chicken and cheesy potato apps. So good, try the honey on the potato app. My daughter loved the steamed egg, quite a unique presentation, delish!! I tried the fried rice, its topped with seaweed, so I took that off, too salty for me, otherwise very good. The entree was Bulgogi, the sauce on the bottom was so delicious I kept spooning it out to eat lol. And we shared the bulgogi hot pot, omg the broth tasted even better than the sauce in my entree. Absolutely go to this place for some Absolutely delicious food. The glass noodles do a great job retaining the flavor of the broth. Ran out of room for dessert. But its one of my new favorite places to eat!!
What a great date spot!! We shared some hot pot and rice wine and everything tasted wonderful. The service was phenomenal. Everyone was so polite and welcoming. Answered all of my questions with a smile. We will definitely be back to try other things on the menu!!!
Expensive. Brings me back to the days of Woo Lae Oak in Washington DC. Not sure the prices are sustainable for the area when I can get all you can eat at Sura in Johnston. But it is a nice atmosphere. Twee and Annie were great. What we ordered and what they brought were not the same. They did maintain it was. But it really didn’t taste like marinated bulgogi hotpot and looked like brisket-the brisket one with glass noodles. They maintained the bulgogi hotpot came with noodles even though I said I hadn’t ordered it with the extra charge of glass noodles. They brought over cheesy corn to try. That was savory and sweet. It was pretty good food. But again I wasn’t willing to pay $100 to grill meat at 9 ounces an order($45). Japchae, never had a bad one. This was good but had like 3 pieces of beef in it for $17. All you can eat banchans(Korean sides). This is slightly more upscale Korean. You have to know what you want to order to get your bang for the buck. Go with a hotpot for two or classic bulgogi, and some noodles like Japchae. Hotpot, Japchae, and 2 cokes $67 with tip $81.
⭐☆☆☆☆ 1.4 out of 5 stars Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing Korean BBQ experiences I have had in New England, and I rarely leave 1 star reviews. Right from the start, the service was a major issue. We were seated and then essentially forgotten. We sat at our table for about 10 minutes with no menus and no one checking on us at all. What made it even more frustrating is that the restaurant was only around 30% full and there were plenty of staff on the floor, at least 4 employees that we could clearly see moving around. It was not busy, and there was no reasonable explanation for being ignored. After waiting, we had to call someone over ourselves. When a staff member finally came to our table, they looked genuinely shocked that we did not have menus and that no one had been serving us. That reaction alone said a lot, because it confirmed we were not imagining it. At that point, I had already pulled up their menu online just to figure out what we wanted, since we were sitting there with nothing. We ordered the $42.99 Korean seasoned short rib, and the portion size was shockingly small for the price. It was basically a serving size for one small person, not something you expect for nearly $43. I tried to give it a fair chance, hoping the quality would justify the cost, but the meat was extremely disappointing. It was mostly fat, the smell was off, and the taste was unpleasant. I eat Korean BBQ and hot pot regularly throughout New England, and this was honestly the worst meat quality I have been served at a KBBQ restaurant. The menu description also stated the entrée included peppers and vegetables. What arrived was one slice of pepper and a single slice of onion. For $42.99, that is beyond underwhelming, it felt almost like a joke. I also ordered the spicy beef shank soup, and it was equally bad. It was a watery soup filled with scrap meat. The meat on the bone was mostly fat, gamy, and very underflavored. Nothing about it felt hearty or well made. We ended up deciding to leave without finishing the food and went somewhere else. The bill was still around $80 for a gross soup, a few pieces of low quality beef, and three bowls of plain white rice. That is not acceptable value. To top it off, the waiter also dropped a glass of water on the couple sitting behind us. Between forgetting customers, leaving tables without menus, and service accidents, it felt like the staff may be inexperienced or poorly trained, which is surprising given how many employees were present. I am genuinely shocked this restaurant is rated as a 5.0 star place. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. Overpriced, low quality meat, poor service, and overall extremely underwhelming.
Food and service was amazing! This is not an all you can eat style. The meats seemed to be of higher quality and flavor from other places i have gone to, which is reflected in the price. Our waitress was very friendly and she grilled for us. My new go to K-bbq spot!
I’ve been to a lot of Korean BBQ in cities and was so excited to take my parents to one in their hometown of Warwick. I was blown away by how good the food was! We got the beef and pork platter with a couple extras between the three of us. More than enough food! And delicious! Would definitely recommend!
Finally a good Korean restaurant in RI! The food was great! The service was excellent! I will definitely be back!
