We had among the best massages we’ve ever had at Sacred Rain, mine by Skylar and my wife’s by Kim. Both Skylar and Kim were very attentive to our individual preferences and crafted massages that really hit the spot. After my massage, I also enjoyed the sauna, cold shower/bucket splash and hot water spa, which are on a clothing optional outside deck out of view of the rest of the facility. There were about a dozen people on the deck, all very relaxed, bare, and respectful. The sauna is well constructed and clean, and meets the expectations of a good Finnish sauna, including sitting benches set above the level of the heat source and ceilings that aren’t too high. The hot water spa was clean and set at a comfortable temperature, although I would have preferred a touch hotter. The deck area overall had a very easy, peaceful community vibe. The changing area and showers were clean and well laid out. Staff very helpful and friendly. Great experience from beginning to end. Massages highly recommended for anyone, and outside deck highly recommended for anyone who loves a good sauna/spa experience and is comfortable with the human body in its natural state.

I absolutely love Sacred Rain. The deck, sauna area is very relaxing, quiet atmosphere, and respectful crowd. I feel so comfortable and relaxed every time I go. The masseuses are also amazing, I've had great massages and would highly recommend

So glad i finally got to try this place! The staff were wonderful and helpful and the entire facility was very clean, tidy, and specifically very queer and trans friendly. It was a beautiful visit and so nice to be able to stay for three hours, switching between the sauna, cold showers, and hot tub. I hope to try their bodywork offerings in the future as well, but after just this one visit, I definitely want to buy their discounted 10-visit punchcard

I always forget, and am glad to remember how therapeutic sauna is especially when complemented by a fantastic cold bucket of water. It’s pretty fun to pull the chain and get splashed after the heat of the sauna, and then to take a break on the sun deck as a transition to integrate it all. I remember reading something that said a great way to get out of your head is to challenge yourself physically because then that becomes the thing to focus on. That shift means we free up the ruminating part of our minds and that, combined with the fact that emotions are energy in motion came up for me when I realized how I felt reset after a 30 minute sauna broken up into 4 parts with breaks and cold splashes. I’m pretty hyper vigilant so to be able to feel my jaw relax and my whole being loosen its grip while also feeling all this fresh circulation; I mean really it’s a way to feel alive. So what a thing to have a space that’s designed to hold space for bodies to release all these things we hold on to, and with plenty of space for transitioning, so even when you’re ready to go you can chill in the wave room and find some gems of beautiful print magazines and books with some hot tea (or go in a yoga room with giant bean bags, or upstairs with a cozy couch and more space to decompress). The staff are all lovely, welcoming, and funny, and for me laughter helps with the relaxing too. After a few experiences here I see the sacred in Sacred Rain as a sacred structure to shift out of thinking and into feeling. Also, while I’m not exactly in touch with sauna pricing systems, my understanding is that Sacred Rain offers the biggest bang for your buck. I think the last thing I want to share for anyone scoping it out is that being here is really a fantastic way to clock the before and after of a session, because it’s so easy to normalize stress and it really takes time to unwind. We are always arriving from someplace else and just like a plane needs time to descend or a car needs to slow approaching a stop sign, the same for us or we get whiplash or crash. So wishing all newbies and visitors a spacious, sacred, soak and sauna and cold splash!

Sauna not very hot: according to thermostat it was 80C(176F), and its electric. Benches too low. I liked the outdoor area which was nice to cool down in and the outdoor jacuzzi. It was also nice that there were plenty of space where to hang out.

I went to Sacred Rain on my birthday last Saturday, October 25th, and it was *such* a gift to myself. If finances allowed, I’d absolutely buy a pass. The space is beautiful and grounding. It really reminded me of being in the hot springs in Taiwan as a teenager, but with an explicitly queer/poly/trans-friendly vibe that made me feel totally at home. I’d feel completely comfortable bringing my polycule here. Leah L. was my massage therapist, and she did a fantastic job: skilled, attentive, and genuinely kind. As a massage therapist myself, I can definitely say I get the hype of this place in the industry. I’m hoping to come back more often once I finish paying off student loans and catching up on the things that had to wait during massage school. (John, if you’re reading this, you hiring? 😄 Just kidding, I love my job!)

Sacred Rain is an absolutely sanctuary tucked into the city! We have found it to be the perfect treat on a chilly fall day. The front desk staff we have interacted with have been so kind. Specifically Darci, who has helped us make several last minute massage appointments and Ayri, who always greats us with a smile and makes us feel so welcomed. My husband and I have received massages from Leah, Madeline and Skyler who have all been excellent massage therapists and really listened to what we needed each time we have come in. I am grateful this place exists!
