Customer Reviews
Running Water Spa has a rating of 4.3 out of 5 based on over 125 reviews on Google
My daughter and I went there for a spa day. They had a special, massage and foot scrub. The spa is clean. We were provided a bathrobe but the shoes were small size and we couldn't use. We went to our service. The lady that I had to me back 5 minutes late and it was basically rubbing lotion on me. She had asked me where I had problems but neglected to focus on those areas. She ended in 45 minutes. My daughter's therapist asked her if she wanted to upgrade to a deep tissue, for a fee. She did she but the therapist only really worked on one side of her back and didn't work on her hands that my daughter indicated were bothering her. The pool was nice and not many guests. The food and drinks were reasonably priced. However, they have limited amenities. No sauna or steam room. It is designed for kids and would be fun for a stay vacation. I can't recommend the services in the spa a they were very disappointing.
I went to the spa and got a facial and massage. It was a relaxing experience, the staff was really friendly and professional. I had access to the other amenities as well which include the gym, sauna, and pool. The sauna is small but very clean and nice looking. The pool is a decent size and right next to the restaurant. Overall this place was great to come in for the day or to stay.
I highly recommend working with Lillian for a facial at Running Water Spa. She is extremely knowledgeable and tailored my facial to my skin needs. Lizzie, spa coordinator, also makes it a breeze to get in!
As far as day spas go, this is a basic choice. If you book a treatment, be prepared to receive an "upsell". In my case, I had booked a 50 min massage for $135 on a special. Once undressed, under the blanket, the therapist begins with a light touch. She notes that a Swedish massage (what was standard) is not very productive and she proceeds to push a deep tissue massage upgrade for an additional $37. Frankly I felt that she purposely began with the light touch to set the stage. What do you do? You are on the table, and not really able to negotiate just how your massage will go unless you agree. After the treatment, I spoke to the desk person who basically just asked how I'd be paying and tipping. Not listening or not caring. She suggested I bring my complaint to the less than sympathetic manager who basically said she "understood my frustration". Bottom line with tip...yes, I still tipped 15% (lower than normal) the cost of the visit was roughly $200. Way too much for a below average place w no real spa amenities. You get a locker, robe, slippers and water. That's it. If you make a dayof it you can use the guest pool and work out area. Fir this price, and better experience could be had at a classier resort spa. Avoid this spa. Try the Avania at the Hyatt.
From checking in to checking out the experience at Running Water Spa was nothing short of amazing. The staff was professional and knowledgeable. The facial and massage I received were fantastic. Would and have recommended this spa to friends and family. Will be returning here in the future.
The front desk girl greeted me warmly and was attentive and kind. Sharon my masseuse was amazing and did a wonderful job on the massage. She was sweet and accommodating. The massage was so needed and given to me as a bday gift. I’d go back!
Loved my experience here! Had a Groupon but will definitely be back with or without one in the future. The 80min massage with Crichton was wonderful, and my facial with Lillian was my first ever and it was great!!!! I wasn’t thrilled about extraction so she talked me through some other options and made sure I understood and was comfortable with every single thing. The whole experience was a great one, both women were excellent, and I will definitely be back
