Embrace North

I've been coming here for nearly 2 years now and can't believe I ever survived without this place! The benefits I feel to my overall mood, energy, and health are truly remarkable. The cold plunge certainly requires a good amount of mental strength, so coming with friends makes it all the easier and more enjoyable. I've brought so many people here over the past 2 years and I've never had someone tell me they didn't enjoy it and many of them have thier own memberships now. I even brought my brother and sister here who were both in ACL surgery recovery (torn about 2 months apart) and they both agreed that during and after the sauna/cold plunge is the best thier knees have felt since before the tear! You truly can't beat thier pricing, you'll spend far more money on far less useful things, and the community is amazing. They have 3 saunas, 2 social and 1 quiet, with a large cold tub separated into 8 plunging areas. There are plenty of lockers, 3 changing rooms, 2 bathrooms, and 1 bathroom/shower room. They have 2 parking lots, plus an abundance of steet parking. They also always keep bike racks out front. If you're waiting to see if this is for you, wait no longer! Your first 2 sessions are free (as long as you go within 2 weeks of eachother) with no credit card down! One of my favorite communities to be a part of in the Twin Cities!

I make a point of checking out the local sauna/cold plunge communities when I'm travelling and have had some pretty cool experiences. But the set up at Embrace North is the best I've encountered. Tons of space and great community to connect with. Staff was super friendly. Overall an A++ visit. Highly recommend.

First time going. I have done several other saunas in the twin cities. Loved embrace north for it's streamlined, community experience. 3 sauna rooms available. Two smaller rooms (one is a quiet sauna for individuals who don't want to talk to others or just want minimal noise) and a large room. Husband and I stayed in the large room for our time there. The saunas are hot, and wonderful. The big room has cages of sauna rocks and community members add water as wanted. The temp was stable a wonderful the whole time, even sitting near the door. Embrace North also has cold water open area showers to rinse the sweat off and cool down or you can get even more cooling by sitting in the cold plunge pool. It's a salt water plunge and it's cold enough to give you pins and needles. I assume that is a big bonus in the summer. But I'm a baby and only once successfully got in all the way to my neck. I have been told at 30-45 seconds it's better. But good Lord that's cold. Staff was delightful, answered any questions anyone had but we're not pushy or off-putting. There are dry changing rooms, a private shower for after you are done if you want and the provided lockers are code enabled so there is no need to bring a lock. We went on a late Sunday afternoon and it was busy, but not so much that it negatively impacted the experience. Very fun! We're going to get a membership

It’s great but crowded in the evenings. Parking can be a challenge but usually not a problem if you’re ok with a five minute walk. Three separate saunas one quiet one. No need to bring a lock - they have lockers where you can set a pin. Wish they had a bathing suit drying machine and I also wouldn’t mind a separate sauna that does just dry heat. People are constantly steaming up the rooms. When oh when will one open in St. Paul?

The community that supports them is great. The prices are very affordable. The sauna rooms are usually hot (above 200 degrees), and it’s great that that one of their rooms is meant to be quiet too. The biggest complaint though is that, if you’re serious about the cold plunge aspect of the experience, the water temperature of the cold plunge isn’t consistent at all. The cold water temperature is advertised at being around 40 degrees, but it is often in the high 40’s and regularly in the mid-50’s. That makes a huge difference when it comes to whether you’re shivering/burning fat at the end of a cold plunge. Like, I go to the newly opened Portal too even though their sauna rooms aren’t as hot as Embrace North’s because their cold water pool is always colder.

1) The floor was very dirty as clients are allowed to bring outside shoes inside. It should be an outside shoe free zone and clients should be ask to provide or provided with inside shoes 2) way too loud, if you are used to real European style sauna or Japanese baths this place is not for you 3) the sauna in itself smelled like piss at the bottom level 4) not relaxing at all Price is obviously cheap so if you dont mind those 4 points, you’ll like it. All in all, nothing compared to watershed spa !

I cannot say enough good things about Embrace North! The facilities are wonderful and seem to attract quite awesome people as well. The staff is very kind and helpful, whether it be a question, concern or just generally keeping the space clean. You can tell they value their customers and want people to experience the beauty of contrast therapy. They offer a great deal on memberships that you simply cannot find anywhere else in the city. I always look forward to going, and I recommend anyone interested to give them a try! 🙂
