Akari

A truly wonderful experience at Akari Banya. From the moment you walk in, you feel a calm, authentic atmosphere that allows you to completely relax and reset. The banya itself is excellent — clean, well-maintained, with perfect steam and temperature. The staff are very professional, attentive, and welcoming, making the entire experience even more enjoyable

This Japanese-inspired sauna spa is a total gem! The vibe is super chill, and the mix of cozy saunas with refreshing cold plunges on the patio just hits the spot. It's the perfect place to unwind and feel refreshed. Highly recommend for some serious relaxation!

it's just the best. i love saunas and have been to many around the world, but akari takes the cake. it's so peaceful and beautiful. i felt energized every time i went! same applies for their greenpoint location too 🙂

I recently joined Akari, and I’m thrilled to say that it’s exactly the sauna and bathhouse experience I’ve always dreamed of. It truly is a hidden gem. The entire place is spotless and well-maintained by the friendly and warm hearted staff who clearly care about what they’ve created. The saunas are always at the perfect temperature, and the cold plunges are refreshing and invigorating, and the best part is they are just outside in what feels like a Japanese-inspired oasis. I highly recommend getting a membership here whenever possible!

Finally a true community bathhouse has arrived in NYC! Kudos to the entrepreneur mavericks. The facility is serene, clean and more functional than even click bait "top spas of NYC". Their servant leader mindset show us how to be sustainable and intentional. Equally impressive is the members. They are doing their part to make the place feel private and communal at the same time. Congratulations to the Akari team!

Truly a relaxing safe space. exactly what the neighborhood needed! Updated: Unfortunately be aware of their policy with pausing your membership. Can only do so once a full year. 14 days minimum to 60 days max. If you're a human who gets sick or travels this can be a major issue.

I love this place!!! So nice to have a peaceful oasis in the middle of Williamsburg, and the space is so thoughtfully laid out with a beautiful outdoor area in the back. Rooting for this team and their approach to life and building community and third places
