This is the place to go for a truly home-style, all natural, back-to-the-basic comfort Korean meal. They make the slow cooked bone broth base from scratch - no added salt (the traditional way is to season with sea salt when the soup comes out to your liking), no MSG, etc. You can tell that they are authentic and full of collagen (great for skin!) because their broth becomes jelly when cooled. Their haejjangguk (morning hangover soup) comes out boiling hot on a hot stone pot with lots of vegetables. The service was attentive and friendly. It’s just a couple doing everything on their own, and they work very hard. Even when things got busy, they made sure to check on each table to ask if the food tastes good (which they absolutely are) and to make sure the banchans (little side dishes) and hot barley tea are refilled. I love good soondae - I make a point to try them whenever they are offered at a restaurant. Their soondae was the best in the area outside downtown LA - just the right balance of stuffing in natural casing that gives slightly chewy texture with a clean taste (not gamey, mushy, or tough). We’ve been here a handful of times for dinner and the food has been consistent, delicious each time.

Everything should be 6/5 here. We were traveling around LA and searching up for restaurant options, then we landed here. Surprisingly, we did not need to wait in line like other restaurants, and staff were able to bring us to a table immediately. Foods were quite deliciously tasty and we highly recommend the rice sausage and the beef soup! Very authentic K-food. Staff were so kind like we never ever experiences before. Would come back in the future if we visited LA again. Thanks for the awesome foods!

We’ve been coming here for the past 20+ years and the quality has remained true. Very authentic and feels like you are in Korea, especially when they have the Korean news on the TV playing. The side dishes have always been mostly the same unlike other Korean places that change their side dishes often. This is great place for some beef soup and different meat dishes if you have a group larger than 2 or 3 people. This is a hidden gem in Rowland Heights.

The most basic and ordinary Korean style noodle restaurant. If you want traditional Korean stew, try one of the menus here. Most are Asians. The cold noodles are especially refreshing and delicious. I highly recommend them. If you buy them in a size large, two people can eat them.

Great Korean food place to try. I get the old 90 Korean restaurant vibe. Well worth it to dine in. Try their beef pot.

Taste very disgusting small portion for a high price, go to other Korean restaurants in the area for better of everything. Try to avoid this place at all cost. One of the worst place I have eaten for the past decade.

-2024 New Review- I am regular customer of this restaurant now. Since2020? I think? This restaurant ownership changed, and trying to change many things now. . Food Taste still good. They changed menu for more good deals. And their menu board is also renewed. I love this place bc it feels like my home food in South Korea. Btw I highly recommend Cold Noodles, Dumpling Soup, n Soondae Soup. . Couple months keep trying this place. Recommended Dumpling Soup, Cold Noodle, Spicy Cold Noodle could be little spicy for Americans. If you are original Korean, you can eat home food. Customer service is also great but you need time to get used to Korean ways.
