Went on a weekday for dinner and had a quaint time. The vibe is here is very modern/chic & I think it's perfect for a group dinner! The staff here are all super sweet and attentive. I'd say our favs were the SPICY BABY OCTOPUS & DUBU PORK and the GALBI JJIM Overall, they give pretty filling portions for the price which is always great. Everything is super family style and they have a pretty extensive list of cocktail / mocktail options that are worth checking out! Of note, the server told us they recently launched the chili tomato pasta dish and were in a relatively experimental phase so they were looking for feedback which is why we tried it out - although not our favorite dish we did appreciate that the server explained the dish and process so well and really wanted honest feedback.
Seoul BAP exceeded my expectations for superb korean food! I loved all of the unique flavor profiles and the options were perfect for sharing. The cocktails can also be made into mocktails which is definitely a plus. I highly recommend ordering the galbi jjim, bossam, beef tartare and seoul sliders. For drinks the lychee martini and raspberry floradora both hit the spot. Seoul Bap is great for dinners with friends, date night or if you want some truly delicious korean cuisine. Did I mention that the service was also top notch? My water was always filled and they were constantly asking if I needed anything. I will come back for sure.
If you are visiting Nomad, NYC and you do not know what to eat or drink but want a cozy and good vibe restaurant that serves good food and drinks then it can be difficult to choose. Thankfully, in NYC there are lots of delicious cuisines to try. One in particular that we like is Seoul Bap that serves delicious traditional Korean flavor dishes and innovative craft cocktails. We went there because we were hungry and wanted a quick bite before we headed to work. We ordered two unique dishes, Octopus Dubu Pork and Sashimi Dupbap that we never try and two comfort dishes, Bulgogi and Tteokbokki that we always order at a Korean cuisines. Everything were well seasoned and deliciously spicy (some dishes you can ask to adjust the spicy level but personally we loved the spice). The Octopus Dubu Pork was served on a sizzling cast iron with tendered baby octopus, thin slices of port belly/shoulder meat and slices of firm tofu. The Sashimi Dupbap were elegantly presented with slices of wild-caught Hamachi fish and salmon over sesame-seasoned rice bowl w/ seasonal greens. Every bite was so good and flavorful. The service was surprisingly quick with friendly staff. The place is well-maintained and clean. We agreed that we will need to visit here again on our off days to try their cocktails along with the other menu items that we did not get to try especially, their desserts.
I have been going to Seoul Bap for nearly two years. I take my family and friends – locally and from out of town – when I want a good time where many different tastes can be met. The drinks and mixology are outstanding. Lots of takes on traditional cocktails with a fun twist. My go to is the Old Seoul Fashion which comes smoking - literally. Other mixed drinks that I recommend are the Seoul Night Highball and Mezcal Negroni. The drinks sometimes come with little clothespin and flowers, which is just fun. Food is really enjoyable and they have a good variety for meat eaters and veggies. For the starters, the Korean Fried Chicken – kinda like a very high-end General Tso’s – really is always a winner. For non-meat started, the dumplings are top notch and I like the crispy mushrooms are a hit. I love the Galbi Jjim (braised beef short rib), which is a bit pricier on the menu, but worth it. A less expensive but still excellent plate is the Cast Iron Bulgogi. I occasionally get a side of rice with it, but depends how much starch you want. My vegetarian family and friends like the Bibimbap. The owners and staff are attentive and friendly. I do see some of the same waiters, which is a good sign about lower turnover. It makes the whole experience more memorable.
Seoul Bap is an absolute gem and such a fun, elevated take on Korean food. We ordered the hamachi yuzu crudo, corn cheese, spicy baby octopus & dubu pork, and the burrata tteokbokki—and every single dish delivered. The hamachi yuzu crudo was bright, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The corn cheese was rich, comforting, and addictive. The spicy baby octopus and dubu pork had great heat and depth of flavor, and the burrata tteokbokki was a standout—creamy, spicy, and totally unique. Dessert was the perfect finish. The homemade black sesame ice cream was nutty and not overly sweet, and the mango yuzu cake was light, refreshing, and beautifully balanced. We also tried cocktails—the Eclipse and Midnight Hibiscus—both were gorgeous and delicious, with thoughtful flavor combinations that paired really well with the food. Great vibes, beautiful presentation, and a menu that feels both creative and comforting. Can’t wait to come back and try more. Highly recommend!
Seoul Bap is a great spot for modern Korean food in Manhattan. The braised short rib was the standout—fall-apart tender with a rich, deeply flavorful sauce. The bossam was clean and comforting with fresh wraps and solid accompaniments, and the tteokbokki was a fun, elevated take with a creamy element that balanced the spice well. Cocktails were well-made and paired nicely with the food. Overall, polished dishes, bold flavors, and a menu that’s perfect for sharing.
Had the BEST time at Seoul Bap! Everything we tried was so flavorful and fresh 🤍 The cocktails were perfectly balanced and such a fun start to the meal. The bibimbap was hands down my favorite — comforting, hearty, and packed with flavor. The tteokbokki had the perfect spicy kick, and the veggie dumplings were crispy, light, and delicious. And don’t even get me started on dessert — the tres leches was SO good and the perfect sweet ending. If you’re looking for a spot with great vibes + amazing food, add this to your list! Definitely coming back ✨
