We stopped into Olle for lunch on a weekend. All of the food we ordered was extremely tasty and I could tell they put a lot of thought into the food. I want to give this place 5 stars but for the price we paid I feel like they were just shy of that rating. I would give them around a 4.5. The eel, while expensive, was really tasty when combined with the seaweed they provided. The mini galbi and cold noodle combo was probably the best deal of the two. The stewed galbi packed some flavor and was very tender, but I felt did not particularly wow me. Looking back I wish it was prepared grilled or some other way besides stewed. The cold pork feet salad was tasty but also not particularly memorable. The banchan were quite tasty and probably one of the highlights of the meal. In particular the fried pancake was crispy yet had a delightful chew.

This is one of the nicest Korean restaurants. I’ve been to very clean. Nice staff. Good food. I. t’s not a KBBQ place with the grill in the middle of the table. They specialize more in the soup and broth dishes. NYC prices will bring your credit cards. Portions are a little small. Give this place a try for in the area. We will definitely be going back.

Really good restaurant serving very tasty dishes. Had the beef rib followed by cooked (at your table) rice. All the condiments were good tasting. Will come back to try other dishes.

I am so happy to be updating this review. After our terrible reservation mix-up last time, the restaurant reached out and invited us back. I decided to give them a second chance, and I am SO glad I did. The Olle team completely exceeded our expectations with both the food and the service. To make up for the previous experience, they were incredibly generous and hooked us up with complimentary Sooyook (boiled pork) and soda. Now, the food... wow. We ordered the Galbi Jjim and Honguh Jjim. The Galbi Jjim was, no joke, the best I have ever had in NYC. It was unbelievably tender and literally melted in your mouth. And pairing the Galbi Jjim with the Hooshik Bibim is a game-changer. The combination of flavors and textures was so unique and delicious. The Bokkeumbab (fried rice) at the end was also the perfect finish. The service was just as amazing. Our servers were super friendly and enthusiastically walked us through the best way to eat every dish. The owner even came by personally to check on us and make sure we were having a great time. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers. We left incredibly happy. Huge thank you to the Olle Team for turning a really bad first impression into a 5-star experience. We will 100% be back!

We stopped in impulsively for some food mid-NYE celebration and we’re happily surprised! The menu is traditional items that are not mainstream, which we quite enjoyed. The atmosphere is very nice and cozy - we sat upstairs, the ambience is darker with warm tones and very clean, perfect for a cozy, intimate dinner. The staff are friendly as you’d expect. And the food was tasty and great value. First impression was a warm bottle of barley. Such a simple thing, but a nice welcoming touch on a cold winter night. It was like a greeting hug that made us feel immediately comfy. oyster soup: not my taste, but it is a childhood fave of my wife. Coincidentally she’s been talking about this a lot recently, lamenting how it’s difficult to find in the states, so you can imagine our surprise at finding it on the menu. She loved it! Skate fish: wow wow! This was only $20 and a good portion. Perfect for a high protein, low fat option. The meat was extremely tender and flavorful on the provided sauce. Ban Chan: The highlight here is the scallion pancake! What a treat in the ban chan. And the final touch was the perfectly cooked rice served on the side. We’d just eaten at a dongbei restaurant the evening before and had mutual disappointment at the mushy rice. It’s such a little thing, but a good bowl of rice is essential to round out the otherwise delicious meal.

Olle is one of my favourite go-to restaurants in the ktown area, and I've been more times than I can count. The restaurant is deceptively large, and it's usually pretty easy to get a last-minute reservation or walk-in for a table. One of their well-known specialties is their naengmyeon, and rightfully so -- both the mul naengmyeon (regular) and bibim naengmyeon (spicy) are so delicious. I love how chewy the noodles are, and the cold broth is always super refreshing. The pickles and cucumbers are a nice touch (although I do remember when it used to come with a slice of pear / half an egg!). The galbi jjim is also super popular - while it can be a bit salty at times, the meat is so tender and just falls apart when chewing. I always recommend getting the galbi naengmyeon combo, which I think is a much better value than ordering the full size galbi jjim, even when you add the side dishes. I'm also a big fan of the soulongtang (rich and hearty broth that is perfect for a cold day) and the galbi tang (broth is so fragrant and a nice complement to the heavier galbi jjim). Some other quick notes: - chueo tang: kind of a miss. the broth has a nice smell but it's just too thick/heavy and weighs down your palate really quickly. - bibimbap: solid dish but nothing particularly notable about it. - janchi gooksoo: I think this only comes as a side to the galbi jjim. I think it's pretty solid as a light contrast to the salty/savoury meat. - bossam: I like the how clean and refined the pork tasted (cooked really well, very tender), but I think it can be pricey for the portion size The banchan are also always a hit -- I really love the rice cakes, fish cakes, and pancakes (?), but honestly they're all quite delicious. Price point can be a bit high depending on what you order, but it's nice in larger groups to be able to share (or get the combo like I suggested above! Perfect amount for 2 people).

Food was good, but I didn’t think it was spectacular, ESP for the insane prices. Prob wouldn’t come here again unless it’s for the naengmyeon - Banchan: Standard, liked the rice cake one, which I haven’t seen at other Korean restaurants - Galbi kimchi ($26.95): 7/10, strong kimchi flavor, wish there was more meat - Sooyook ($38.95): 7/10, flavor was good, but have had better pork belly elsewhere. Also insanely pricey
