Moono has a rating of 4.4 out of 5 based on over 465 reviews on Google
Stopped by Moono with friends after spending the day in New York City, and it was such a great meal. We ordered Pyongyang-style cold noodles, stir-fried cuttlefish, and mixed sashimi salad, and everything was spot on. The Pyongyang cold noodles had a clean, deeply flavorful broth that was light but satisfying, with great texture on the noodles. The stir-fried cuttlefish was full of smoky flavor, not overly spicy, and went perfectly with rice. The mixed sashimi salad was fresh and well balanced, with bright, refreshing flavors. Overall, the food was thoughtful and well executed, making it perfect for sharing with friends. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, which made it easy to enjoy the meal and spend time together. Definitely a place I’d come back to with friends again.
We came at 5 PM on a Wednesday and it was calm and peaceful. The food tasted clean with a focus on the ingredients natural flavor. The chicken was fried very well and it's taste was fairly light with a hint of MSG. The galbi-jjim was tender and youll find yourself dipping it back in the sauce after each bite. Nothing was excessive in flavor which might be a downside for someone expecting heavy pocha style flavors. Even the kimchi wasn't too sour and had a crunch to it. It's unique and healthy, plus the place is gorgeous and a great place for a date.
The interior of Moono is so beautiful and the service and food is always top-tier. I’ve been here twice now, most recently for the restaurant week menu. The chicken is some of the best I’ve had and the Galbi-jjim is so tender. The sides are also phenomenal and all unique. For the restaurant week menu we got the wine pairings as well and I definitely recommend that, they go perfectly with each course. Overall, love this place! I’ve also had the bossam and naengmyeon before which are also good, but I think my favorite dish so far has been the Galbi-jjim!
The bossam and overall course at Moono were genuinely impressive. The pork was tender and clean with no off-flavors, and the variety of vegetables served alongside it was outstanding. The makhoe, Pyongyang naengmyeon, and bossam all had a refined, balanced flavor without being overwhelming. The desserts were far better than expected — highly refined and perfectly executed. A place that elevates Korean cuisine into a modern, sophisticated dining experience. Definitely worth a return visit 💯
Where do I begin??!!! My friends and I had an exceptional dining experience at Moono. The Galbi-Jjim (soy-braised prime beef) remarkably tender and rich in flavor, a true highlight of the evening. Every dish we tried showcased the skill and creativity of Chef Hoyoung Kim, a Michelin-starred chef who clearly prioritizes fresh, high-quality ingredients in every plate. The service was equally impressive. The servers were warm, attentive, and highly knowledgeable, taking the time to explain each dish we ordered since we have never had Korean food before. It was definitely A memorable experience with excellent cuisine and hospitality, highly recommended for all families.
Excellent Korean. Pre-fixe menu is great and very filling. For pre-fixe, recommend galbi-Jim and solbap with mushroom or uni. Friendly staff. Pretty quiet. Lots of tables for 2-4 people but seems like able to put tables together for larger groups. 2nd floor but unknown how big tables there are.
I had the pleasure of dining at Moono, and the experience was truly exceptional. The restaurant offers an artfully crafted journey through contemporary Korean cuisine, and the dessert stood out as a highlight that perfectly capped the meal. The presentation was elegant and thoughtful, especially the chestnut Mont Blanc dessert. Each component was balanced with precision sweetness that complemented rather than overwhelmed, and textures that offered a delightful contrast with every bite. This thoughtful approach transformed what could have been a simple sweet into a memorable finale worthy of Moono’s overall excellence. Overall, the dessert was not just delicious; it was a testament to the skill and imagination behind Moono’s kitchen and a fitting reflection of the chef’s culinary vision.
