Customer Reviews
Kuu has a rating of 4.5 out of 5 based on over 2592 reviews on Google
I had the curry ramen and it was really good. I was sad to discover that the naan chips were substituted with store bought crackers. The flavours were good and enjoyed in that cold day outside. There are a few more options I’d love to try in the future.
My wife and I were just there for lunch today. There’s a line out the front 1:30pm on a Monday which’s saying something. It’s super warm inside which is awesome for a cold day like today. The service was top notch. I did not get the waiter’s name, but he’s super effective and tentative to us the whole time while taking care of the other customers. Took away empty plates refilled water glasses without us asking. It was great. The food was delicious too especially the beef don. The sesame sauce really elevated the flavor. It’s the first time I had a beef don with that flavor profile and I loved it. Overall, I would very much recommend this place.
🍜 Kuu Ramen — Comforting Japanese Ramen in the Heart of Wall Street Exploring the Wall Street and Financial District area is usually associated with skyscrapers, busy streets, and a fast-paced business atmosphere. However, during my walk around this historic part of New York City, I discovered Kuu Ramen, a cozy Japanese ramen spot that offers a comforting break from the city’s financial hustle. Kuu Ramen was created with the goal of bringing authentic Japanese ramen flavors to New York while maintaining simplicity and balance. Instead of focusing on trends, the restaurant emphasizes well-crafted broth, quality ingredients, and consistency. The name "Kuu" reflects a minimalist Japanese philosophy, which is clearly expressed in both the food and the calm, understated interior design. 📍 Location Kuu Ramen is located in the Wall Street / Financial District area of Lower Manhattan. This makes it an ideal dining option for office workers, locals, and travelers exploring landmarks such as Wall Street, Charging Bull, One World Trade Center, and Battery Park. Its location is convenient and easy to reach by subway, making it a perfect stop for lunch or dinner while sightseeing. 🍜 Popular Menu Items One of the most popular dishes at Kuu Ramen is the Tonkotsu Ramen, featuring a rich pork bone broth that is creamy, flavorful, and deeply satisfying without feeling overly heavy. The noodles are springy and pair well with tender slices of chashu pork. Another favorite is the Shoyu Ramen, which offers a lighter soy sauce–based broth with a clean and classic Japanese taste. For those who enjoy bold flavors, the Spicy Miso Ramen stands out with its slightly spicy, savory profile that adds warmth and depth. Many diners also order side dishes such as gyoza or karaage (Japanese fried chicken), which complement the ramen perfectly. ⏰ Opening Hours • Open daily • Generally from 11:00 AM to late evening Hours may vary, especially on weekends, so checking ahead is recommended. 💰 Price Range • Ramen bowls typically range from USD 15–20 • Side dishes are usually USD 6–10 Considering the quality and the prime Wall Street location, the pricing feels reasonable for New York City. 🏮 Atmosphere & Dining Experience The atmosphere at Kuu Ramen is relaxed and welcoming, offering a nice contrast to the busy surroundings of the Financial District. Whether you’re dining solo, taking a break from sightseeing, or meeting friends after work, the space feels comfortable and unpretentious. Service is efficient and friendly, making it a great spot even during a busy day. ✨ Final Thoughts Kuu Ramen is a hidden gem in the Wall Street area that delivers comforting Japanese flavors in a calm setting. It may not be flashy, but its well-balanced ramen and convenient location make it a place worth revisiting. If you’re exploring Lower Manhattan and craving a warm, satisfying meal, Kuu Ramen is definitely a spot to keep in mind.
Found this little ramen shop on Yelp and came in at 5pm. There was no wait. These soju drinks are so good! The flavor of the ramen broth is really good. I wish the meat was a little more tender but I other enjoyed the ramen. We also ordered karage chicken and that was solid.
Mid, but I didn’t get their ramen so maybe that’s better - Salmon teriyaki bowl: Thought it was going to be raw salmon but it was cooked. Gave the same vibe as meal prep - Complimentary miso soup: Standard, yummy - Black sesame ice cream: Yummy
Kuu Ramen absolutely deserves all five stars! The broth is rich, deep, and perfectly seasoned—comforting without being too salty. The noodles have that ideal springy chew, and every topping tastes fresh and intentional. The pork is melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the portions are generous without feeling heavy. The service is quick and friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy in that perfect ramen-shop way. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or sitting down for a warm, satisfying dinner, Kuu Ramen consistently delivers a fantastic experience. Highly recommend—you’ll want to come back! 🍜✨
I think I’ve found my new favorite ramen place. I always walk past this spot and there is a long line outside and now I understand why. I walked in alone at 6:30pm on a cold weekday and was easily able to be seated at the window. Atmosphere: The place is tiny, cozy and may be tight for larger groups but perfect for a solo or 2-3 people outing. It can get quite noisy but the menu is extensive and the server is doing his best to get to you and help you make a choice. Order: I had the Signature Triple Chicken Yuzu Ramen recommended by the server and it was very flavorful. Service: The service is quick, the quantity is more than enough and I will definitely be going back to try other items on the menu. It does close early and you will have to wait in line after 7pm.
