Chien-Hung Coco Tseng

One of the best three star dining experience recently. I really like the Korean Contemporary fusion. The octopus and galbi rice roll and splendid. We ordered mixed pairing and were so impressed by the non-alcohol mocktails. Hope the chef will have more seasonal fusion dishes each season.

It had been a while since I treated myself to a fine dining experience, so I came into this meal with high expectations—and it absolutely delivered. The banchan set the tone right away: beautifully presented, full of little tasty surprises that made me wonder what else was coming. The striped jack that followed was even better—the acidity of the white kimchi lifted the fish and gave it such a refined balance. Then came the standout: the octopus. Honestly, it was the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly tender inside, crisp on the outside, and paired with an umami-rich sauce that just lit up my palate. After that, the yellowtail kimbap looked deceptively simple, but the flavor was so elegant and clean—it really stayed with me. The other dishes were great as well, but those three seafood plates really stole the show, they’re the ones that will stick in my memory the longest. Dessert was a thoughtful touch, especially since I had mentioned I was celebrating. Service was attentive, though a bit on the mechanical side, it lacked that extra warmth that would’ve made the night flawless. Still, the food itself was so incredible that I can’t help but give this place top marks. Even now, I can still taste those dishes as I write this. An absolute must try!

I went to Jungsik when it was a 2 star but I wanted to write a review anyways. That's how much i thoroughly enjoyed this place. Top 3 restaurant of all-time for me if not Top 1 in terms of food. Best and most fancy amuse bouches I've ever had. Great lobster and fish. And of course the universally renowned, the greatest tasting Octopus on Earth, Mind-blowing. As well as the most innovative and best kimbap in the world. Glad they had a meat dish which also tasted good. Only falloff may have been their desserts. Pretty looking but lacked strength in flavor. Not sure if it was because their head pastry chef left at the time to start her own shop. Aside from that, perfection. I hear now that they've become a 3-star, they have dolsot bibimbap and something that comes with the kimbap. I'm so anticipating it, that Jungsik might be the only Michelin restaurant that I ever spend that kind of money to eat twice at. I do hope their desserts improve a bit though, either in volume or flavor impact. And just for fun maybe adding a gastronomic touch/performance to a dish or two.

One of the best meals of my life. Celebrated New Year’s at Jungsik with my husband. Every bite of the holiday menu was a flavor explosion. The chef used familiar ingredients but cooked to perfection, striking the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and acidity. The crunchy texture mixed with buttery and smooth center created a party in my mouth. The Banchan, Octopus, Arctic Char (the most buttery and melt-in-your-mouth piece of fish I’ve ever had), Kimbap were my absolute favorite. The desserts were innovative and delicious, with play on temperature, flavor, and texture. Thank you so much for such an incredible food experience. I’d come back to Jungsik anytime and must visit Jungsik-Seoul next time I am in Asia. Bring your loved ones to Jungsik for an unforgettable meal.

Easily one of the best meals I’ve had in years. The room feels calm and elegant, and the staff manages to be both professional and kind, which is rarer than it should be. There was a hiccup at the start when they couldn’t find our reservation and said only the bar was available. Not what you want to hear when you’ve been looking forward to dinner all week. But they recovered quickly, found us a table, and the rest of the night couldn’t have gone better. The food was simply outstanding. The amuse-bouche was a tiny work of art, each bite different and deliberate. The caviar course was rich and balanced, the octopus perfectly seared, and every dish felt like part of a larger story. Service was flawless, timing was exact, and the pacing of the meal made it feel effortless. By the end, the rocky start didn’t matter at all. This place earns its stars the old-fashioned way: with skill, consistency, and care. Five stars, no hesitation.

beautifully presented dishes and each bite was excellent. our favorites was the octopus, crispy on the outside but still extremely tender, and amber jack with perilla oil sauce which was so refreshing. the starter banchans were the perfect start, each one full of unique flavors. every dish was meticulously cooked, the salmon was tender and the galbi melted in your mouth. really a wonderful experience.

One of the best experiences we’ve ever had for a dinner. Oscar in particular was amazing, and the rest of the staff was amazing I just don’t remember their names. Everything about this experience was amazing-the service, the staff, the pacing of the meal, the flavors, presentation, atmosphere, and even the bathroom. They printed our menu with everything we had and included wishing us a happy anniversary with our names on it as well as an outline of VA with a heart. Oscar had amazing recommendations for drinks to go along with our courses and based it on preference. We savored every dish and couldn’t believe how delicious everything was. The soap in the bathroom also smelled so good I immediately looked up where I could buy it. I liked that it was a Korean-American brand based in NYC. This would be one of the few Michelin restaurants I would actually want to come back to.
