Gurumé is such a fun Korean tapas spot near Rockafeller Center 🤍 I came here with three of my girlfriends on a Saturday night and we made a reservation which I’d definitely recommend. The vibes were lively but still perfect for a girls night out ✨ We started with their festive espresso martini called the Rudolph 🍸🎄 It had a hint of caramel and came with a little marshmallow on the side which was such a cute touch. Sweet smooth and the perfect way to kick off the night. For food we ordered a bunch to share which is 100% the move here. The crispy corn and cheese was one of my favorites and such a great starter 🌽🧀 Then we tried the birria mandu and wow!! This is a must order. It was so good that we got it again. Super savory packed with flavor and the meat was unreal 🥟 We also got the everything tteokbokki which were so fun and satisfying and the baby back ribs were insanely tender and falling right off the bone 🍖 Definitely one of my top dishes of the night. We ended with the black sesame bread pudding and I’m not exaggerating when I say it was insanely good 🍮 I’ve never had anything like it and I’ve literally come back just for this dessert alone. It was also my birthday and it was so sweet that they sang happy birthday 🥹🎉 The food came out quickly the waiters were super attentive and overall the experience was amazing. I would absolutely come back and already can’t wait to return 💖🍽️✨
Steak & potatoes, corn cheese, and the black sesame bread pudding stood out. The dumplings had good skin but I personally didn’t vibe with the fusion. The chicken wings had crunchy skin but the wings themselves were not super flavorful. Beet salad was ok, good as a palette cleanser but can probably be skipped
This was a good place but compared to other more authentic Korean food places this place was meh. Food: the wings were amazing, great balance of sweet an and savory with extreme crunch. The ramen was a bit over the top with the spiciness and muted the actual flavors that would’ve stood out kid better had they not been drowned in the spicy sauce. The soft boiled onsen egg was impressive but it would’ve been better if it wasn’t ice cold. The chip bits at the beginning were super oily and were a bit like the dregs at th bottom of a deep fryer or what’s leftover at the end of a bag of potato chips. Price: way over priced for the portion sizes even for NYC. If you’re going to be a tapas place then make the living and portions match Service: very kind servers and attentive, they took the time to let us know our wings might be slightly delayed and to describe each dish in detail and our water was promptly refilled each time without needing to ask Ambience: very loud that we struggled to hear the staff and had to keep repeating our prefer because they couldn’t hear us either
Josephine was incredible! We arrived around 6:10 with tickets to the Stranger Things play at 7pm, and she wasted no time walking us through the menu and helping us choose the perfect dishes. Dinner was absolutely delicious, and thanks to her efficiency and attention, we made it to our show right on time. Amazing staff, amazing food , we can’t wait to come back!
BEST FOOD NEAR TIME SQUARE! Went for a preshow bite and it was fast and so tasty! Got the corn and cheese ringlets, Double fried chicken Wings, soy garlic, tuna tartar, and the yellowtail. Great service that was very careful with food allergies as well. Will be back!
Night option for night gathering. Many alcohol options with well-designed menu. The price doesn’t look high on the menu but dishes were small. It costs somehow higher than expected to fill up your stomach. 🫓🍄🟫✨Oyster mushroom taco was surprisingly my favorite dish. Simple but flavorful. But as you can see in the photo, it was 3 small pieces. 🧡🍜seafood ramen was a must, considering the portion. Order it at the very beginning! It was rich with many seafood inside. Worth in both reasons. 🧡Steak and potato was solid. The meat was perfectly cooked with delicious sauce, and the potatoes were crispy. Scallop crudo was fresh but the sauce was too sour. Beef mandu was made with chunk meat instead of ground meat, this, it was slightly dry inside. 🩶🍨Sesame bread pudding was a rich option to end the night. Heavy in a good way. Not super impressive but good enough to order.
We were staying next door and went for dinner pre broadway show. What a great concept, a tapa style service with Korean food, like Spanish food meant to share and to marinate with a drink. Service was very good and fast. We had korean chicken wings, steak and potatos, pork belly and Korean radish, tuna tartar. Everything was delicious, drinks were very good too. Highly recommended.
