Pelicana Chicken - Chino

I got the whole crispy fried chicken with sauce. The chicken is juicy and crispy. The size of each individual chicken pieces are well quite large in size. And the portion size is quite a lot, so its price is very reasonable. The sauce flavor I got is hot and spicy and it does got some spiciness to it, but extremely enjoyable if you’re into spice. In addition, it is sweet, smoky, and each pieces is perfectly covered in the sauce. The service was friendly and I got my food within like 10-15 minutes. I will be definitely be going here often whenever I’m craving Korean Fried Chicken.

Since the fried food smell was pretty strong in the restaurant, I opted for takeout instead of dinin~No napkins or utensils came with the order~I was told I’d get a text when my food was ready so I could pick it up right away—but I waited 25 mins with no message. When I went in to and ask, turns out my order had been ready ages ago! What’s the point of giving my phone number for updates if I don’t get them? and the whole experience felt so unorganized. Compared to Jolibee’s chicken, this one isn’t quite as juicy~

Yea yes and more yes. The MVP OF THIS PLACE is the owner, her vibes are so dope. She was so cool I didnt know she was the owner until i asked who it was🤣. She said "me"🤣. There are a lot great things i can say about this place. They have a bar that you can sit at if you wanna go to just have a drink and watch a game. They have soju with different flavors which is nice. Now the other MVP of the food are the sauces. The sauces are super rich with flavor. I suggest that you get the garlic sauce and the soy honey sauce. Super good. They also have a special that’s 40 bucks with 18 pieces of chicken, two sauces, fries, and you can add cheese balls for five more dollars. You’re gonna spend that much anyway if you come with a group so just get that anyway fill you up and save money. They have TVs everywhere so it’s a good place to go and hang out and watch a game or two.

The store was pretty (lots of TVs) and the staff was amazing but the food …. 1) We started the course with a bowl of cabbage and mayonnaise as a topper. 2 out of 10 2) We then tried the cheese balls - think of a mochi textured fried cheese ball with sugar added. 3 out of 10 3) while ordering, our server (the man is a saint) asked if it was our first time. We said yes and he suggested we get some fries for my daughter as most things on the menu has a "sweetness to them". So thankful we did. These arrived next and she really enjoyed them 10/10 4) lastly, the fried chicken. We had the garlic sauce on the side and these things are piping hot off the grill. They were delicious by themselves! I tried the garlic sauce, and you guessed it, more sugar and sweetness. 9/10 This was a fun place to try once but it’s not our flavor.

Having tried on separate occasions both the signature sauce 🔥 and hot spicy 🔥🔥🔥 original chicken and I gotta say that both orders were fantastic! The chicken was delicious and the right amount of crunch. Very good!

I loved the crispy fried chicken with garlic sauce. Potent garlic sauce was delicious 😋. I have never been served a battered and fried chicken spine before yet I got one at Pelicana. This is usually a non edible part of the chicken. 🫣
