When I first came to PEL Tutoring, my son Ayden was in kindergarten. I noticed he was struggling with the school curriculum and had a hard time staying seated for long periods of time. I shared my concerns with Mr. Lawrence about the challenges we were facing both at school and at home. He reassured me not to worry and said he would help my son. In the beginning, Ayden struggled a lot. He couldn’t stay in his chair for even five minutes without getting up. Mr. Lawrence took the time to have a serious talk with him about the importance of focusing and doing his work. Throughout the process, Mr. Lawrence was patient and understanding of what Ayden was going through. He truly cared. Over time, he became like an extra father figure not only to Ayden but to many of the kids at PEL Tutoring. Mr. Lawrence and his wife genuinely care about the well-being of the children in their program. In just the last few months, my son has improved so much. I 100% stand by PEL Tutoring — it is absolutely worth it.

PEL Learning Center in San Leandro is an amazing place for students to learn and grow. Ryan is incredibly hardworking and always goes the extra mile to help students succeed. I started at PEL Learning Center in San Leandro as a student, and it completely changed how I learned and approached school. The teachers were patient, supportive, and really cared about helping me grow. Later, I came back as a staff member, and it’s been amazing to give back to the same community that helped me so much. PEL is truly a place that believes in every student’s potential!

Our son was testing below his grade in math and English so we enrolled him in PEL. I'm kist6 months he has shown tremendous improvement and even got a math award! He will soon be testing above his grade and we are so thankful for this wonderful team. The staff is wonderful and they do an excellent job tracking each student's progress.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PEL LEARNING CENTER - SAN LEANDRO ! My son is in 5th grade and has severe ADHD which has caused him to be behind his classmates in school. Naturally this has been very frustrating for him and also affects his self esteem. He is very intelligent but also very easily distracted. This issue is aggravated by the long public school day and being in a classroom with 30 kids. He goes to PEL Learning Center - San Leandro for just one hour a day Monday through Friday. He is never in a session with more than two other kids, and the director Lawrence always asks him and the other kids to tell him which tutors they do or do not like so they can try to place them where they learn best. Also if your kid is the kind that works well with an incentive, the kids get points during each session. Points can be redeemed for toys in the "store". Though my son complains about having to go to tutoring, he always learns, and the fact that he is feeling the pride in realizing that he CAN learn is priceless. Not only that, but PEL Learning Center - San Leandro offers home access to educational online games and has quarterly progress meetings with parents.

PEL San Leandro is a good place for children learning Math and English with extra support. My children started their learning in PEL San Leandro since they were in kindergarden. I love Pel, whether your child needs a little extra help or you're looking to advance them this is the place for you. All three of my children go here twice a week. My daughter has been top of her class for the last 4 years and is testing multiple grades above in math and English. My son was one of two kids to graduate kindergarten able to read and my 3 year old is also attending to learn to read. I love how detailed they are, they offer Zoom classes and homework help, can drop off your kids, schedule quarterly meetings to go over your child's progress and have a reward system with Pel money that they trade in for prizes.
