I cannot say enough positive things about Jayde Hong! From the moment we started working with her, we felt completely supported and confident in our child's progress. My son absolutely loves going to speech therapy. Jayde has a fantastic ability to make every session feel like fun and engaging playtime, rather than work. She is incredibly patient, energetic, and uses such creative techniques and games tailored to son’s interests. Every session is unique and different, she constantly tries different approaches to help improve my son’s speech skills through thoughtful exercises and practices. Since starting therapy 5 months ago, we have seen remarkable improvements in his speech, including greatly improved abilities to build simple and complete full sentences, his vocabulary and confidence have significantly improved as well. Jayde doesn't just work miracles during the session; she also provides us with clear, practical strategies and home exercises that seamlessly fit into our daily routine. If you are looking for a speech therapist who is highly skilled, deeply caring, engaged and genuinely committed to seeing your child succeed, look no further. Jayde has made a massive, positive difference in our lives, and we are so grateful!
My child has been in the PlayPals Junior toddler program at East Bay Child Development for a year, and it’s been amazing! His social and communication skills have improved so much. The staff are friendly, gentle, and really know what they’re doing. They accept regional clients and insurance, highly recommend!
We have been coming here and their previous location for a bit over 3 years now. My 6 yo son receives speech therapy and has emerging language. It has been great working with them and they have always seemed to put my son’s interests first. They also offer an inclusive preschool called Play Pals that my 2yo son attends from 8am-530pm. With an older sibling who is nonverbal it was needed and has been a great experience so far. The teachers and speech therapists do an amazing job trying educate in a way that is friendly and natural. We highly recommend East Bay Child Development Center. They also offer ABA and OT services.
I’ve been extremely impressed with Claire and the sessions my son has had with her in the last 5 months. We have seen a lot of progress in my son’s speech. We meet with Claire once a week and not only has Claire helped my son, but she has given me the tools I need to reinforce his lessons. Claire emphasizes that the 30 min sessions are just a tiny portion of a child’s week and a child’s overall success with speech therapy relies much on a parent’s willingness to continue the therapy at home. My son adores Claire and asks to see her each week. She creates fun games and lessons and my son doesn’t realize he’s learning. Our sessions are on time, the facility is clean and organized. Her schedule as always been flexible to meet our needs. I highly recommend Claire and her staff.
Claire is the best! She is attentive and understanding of your situations and needs. She is professional and answered all my questions and concerns. My daughter started her speech therapy journey around February 2022 and she just recently graduated from her therapy. Claire’s team helped her tremendously. They were patient, engaging and my daughter felt comfortable with them. My younger son will probably needs help with his speech and I would not hesitate to come back to Pediatric Language Therapy Associates. Thank you to Claire and your team!
I don’t see any age appropriate for this clinic? I was heard that my child moves to much because of his disability on spectrum around young children and that was not appropriate, his 2 year old sister is running around the clinic to explore toys. She’s only 2 which is normal thing any kid at this age does. But being failed to have speech therapy because of these complains is considered harassment and discrimination. You work for me and get paid by my insurance. I call the shot here. You want to fail my son because he moves around young children too much? Many excuses first movement. His 2 year old sister, I’m on the phone, he does not fit. Do you hear yourself ? They look at me like I was brought behind the cow. I’m an educated woman with 2 degrees, you can’t discharge him, that’s not legal. it’s seems like you even have any skills of being a speech therapist, you are the problem that many others say. I filled a complain to civil right for discrimination. If I have to hire an attorney I will. Violating laws the American with the Disability Act (ADA) and Section 504 if the rehabilitation act.
Play Pals was my sons first "school camp/program" experience over summer 2022. What really stood out to me as a parent when selecting a program was Play Pals inclusivity for children with communication challenges. The communication with the camps founder, director, and camp councilors has been nothing short of consistent and effective. No question goes unanswered and the door for communication is always open. If I have a need to check on my son’s progress throughout the day the team is always very responsive. Aside from the incredibly supportive staff my son truly loves the friendships he has established at camp including his connections developed with the staff. He is always excited and ready for a new day and as a mother I feel safe leaving my son in the care of this amazing team. Prior to Play Pals my son was receiving speech therapy through his primary care provider. Now he is able to get the therapy he needs within the same consistent environment with familiar faces. I am incredibly excited I have chosen to move forward with my sons enrollment in the Fall Camp 2022 offered and look forward to seeing this amazing program develop even further over the next year.
