Best atmosphere ever and the service is very attentive and kind. Pim P was my server and she did an amazing job. I think it’s a good place for dates because the atmosphere allows for conversation and the food is nicely portioned. Their soy sauce is good too.

Columbia University offers a top-tier education in a stunning setting. As a graduate of the MPA in Environmental Science and Policy program, I gained invaluable knowledge in sustainability and policy through a rigorous, hands-on curriculum. Beyond academics, the campus is breathtaking - historic architecture, tree-lined walkways, and iconic landmarks like Low Library make it a perfect place to learn and reflect. An incredible experience all around!

Colombia university is an incredible place, not just because of its academic excellence, but because of the people and its location. The community is welcoming, diverse and inspiring -students, faculty and staff genuinely care and support one another being local located in New York City. It is a huge advantage the campus blends beautifully with the city energy while still feeling like its own world. You’re surrounded by culture, history, opportunity, and endless learning, both insights and outside the classroom.

In December 2023, when students occupied a campus building to protest against the university's position, the administration called the police. More than a hundred students were arrested, which felt disproportionate given the quiet clarity of their demands. They weren’t asking for anything abstract: They wanted the university to stop investing in Israeli companies and cut ties with military manufacturers whose weapons are used by the Israeli army. They also wanted the university to refuse donations from Israeli individuals and corporations. The logic was disarmingly straightforward: don't allow university funds to indirectly support violence. People in the world often forget that, in the United States, there are no national universities. There are state universities, of course, but the well-known institutions — the ones with ivy, prestige and centuries of myth-making — are all private. In order to build new facilities or recruit star faculty at impressive salaries, these schools rely on donations. These donations accumulate to form enormous endowments, quietly growing in investment portfolios spread across countless companies. So, when students point out that these investments may include Israeli firms, the issue becomes more than just financial. It becomes a moral issue. Columbia's endowment alone is worth around fourteen billion dollars — a sum that, when invested, touches everything from tech start-ups to defence contractors. The students' request was simple: don't allow money intended for our education to contribute to harm. Yet the ensuing scene — arrests, headlines and arguments that swallowed nuance whole — left a strange aftertaste, as though the conversation had tried to expand and breathe, only to be crushed by the weight of the institutional response.

Columbia was my dream university growing up because it served as the catalyst for the Beat Generation, bringing all of my favourite poets together. I was lucky enough to attend the guided campus tour this year, which was a surreal experience for me.

Columbia University is a stunning campus that is steeped in history and tradition. From the moment you step onto its grounds, you are struck by the beauty of the architecture and the natural surroundings. The campus is sprawling, with lush green spaces, modern buildings, and historic landmarks. The faculty are world-renowned experts in their fields, and the curriculum is challenging and thought-provoking. The university also provides an abundance of extracurricular activities and resources, including clubs, sports teams, and research programs. One of my favorite aspects of Columbia is its location in New York City. The university is situated in the heart of Manhattan, surrounded by some of the best restaurants, museums, and cultural attractions in the world. It's the perfect place to experience the vibrancy of city life while also pursuing your academic goals. Overall, I highly recommend Columbia University to anyone who is seeking a top-notch education, a supportive community, and a vibrant city experience.
