Edgewater United Taekwondo

Our 5 year old son started a year ago and has greatly improved in all aspects. His attitude, confidence and disciple has seen drastic improvements. Master Dan and Ms. April are strict but at the same time make it a fun atmosphere. It's great to see my son practicing his kicks and punches at home.

My son has been going for 3 years and it has transformed him! His confidence, strength and physicality has improved tons! But most importantly, he has great fun always. Master Dan and April Ma'am are amazing with the kids, of all ages.

Our daughter has been attending taekwondo classes for the past 5-6 months, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with her progress and enthusiasm. She absolutely loves every session and looks forward to each class with excitement. Master Dan and Master April are incredibly patient and create an environment that fosters both respect and engagement. The structured approach has been perfect for her, keeping her fully focused and motivated. It’s been amazing to see her grow in discipline and confidence, and we are so grateful for this experience at United Taekwondo. As we aren’t fans of participation trophies, our only suggestion would be to hold students back a bit longer on belt promotions to ensure they are truly excelling at each level, reinforcing the value of hard work paying off.

Master Dan and Ms. April are extremely skilled individuals. Not just in Taekwondo, but in how they interact with their students. The phrase "know your audience" is key. They are able to teach their students skills with discipline and at the same time build a rapport with each individual through a mutual respect. Every parent must step back and "trust the process" while watching and allow the connection to evolve. It is truly mesmerizing when it begins to come together. Our son LOVES attending United TKD! Highly recommend.

I am so glad I came across this taekwondo gym when I was searching for an active sport/extracurricular for my 4 yr old. Run by 2 experienced masters (Master Dan and Master April) who are amazing with the kids! They make it fun with drills and exercises while maintaining discipline. I would definitely recommend this to parents who are looking to add an active and fun class to their kid’s schedule.

Master Dan and April are absolutely masters of Martial Art. They learn children focus, self-discipline, responsibility, respect others and motivation. They love children and love what they do. My daughter had taekwondo classes for almost 2 year. And she is highly involved to continue. Update 05.08.2023 : She received black belt recently and she is so happy to be in the black belt classes and continues to learn new things. Update 12/10/2023 My daughter keeps going to learn more and is already preparing for the test for 5 Geub. Update 03/19/2024 My daughter keeps going to learn more and is already preparing for the test for 4 Geub.

Favorite place! My son has lots of energy but not very athletic. I was seeking for kids sports center where my son can have fun also build his strength at the same time. I love both masters here! They are very dedicated and fun! Thank you Masters!!
