Clinton-Macomb Public Library

Each time I/we have visited the library have found the people who work there to be helpful, courtesy and friendly. I enjoy the library and check books out on a regular basis. We also enjoy the special classes they offer for adults. I believe in supporting the library and enjoy this particular branch the most.

The biggest library within the Clinton-Macomb Public Library branches, as well this is my local library that I go to. I absolutely love it here, the study rooms are great; and there’s nice alternatives to them when they’re all filled up (those nook areas by the chimneys near the staircases.) My sole complaint on this library, is that over the years, and this is no doubt due to its close proximity to Chippewa. The library, particularly during hours after school.. A lot of the students will walk to the library and treat it like the playground. Meaning, it can just get rowdier. And while it usually again dies down, it can just be an unpleasant atmosphere to study in. I will say also, since COVID; a lot of those issues have died down. It really mellowed out the students and so this really may not as much be an issue anymore. But! Remember, your card here works at the other libraries within this branch. And the other branches have vastly different environments, and so it’s a pick your own adventure. This is definitely my favorite branch though.

I love this library, it's efficient, it's stacked with any kind of book you can hope to find, it's so rare they don't have a book I'm looking for, and if get don't have it you can make a request they purchase it, I've made 2 requests in the past and both times they've purchased the book to add to their enormous collection. Easily best library I've ever used!

Such a cool place! Cozy, tons of books, media, and space for everyone of all ages. And lots of areas to read, write, or study in peace or with a group

It is the best library I have ever been to & I have been to many libraries all over Michigan and other states and have never seen anything as amazing as this library. I especially love the children's area. It is awesome! They have a thomas train in the ceiling when you first enter the children's area that you get to turn on by pressing a big button. The train goes around in a circle above you and it goes through tunnels and is painted like a town in the background with mountains, it is amazing. This library is what helped to start my son's obsession with trains. They also have a wooden train table that my children love. There is so many fun things for children to play with and let their imaginations go crazy. There is a really cool puppet show area with lights in the ceiling that looks like stars. It is beautiful. There is a huge globe the spins when you walk up the stairs to get to the children's area or you can take the elevator which my kids also love. Even the drinking fountain is amazing with beautiful tile art behind it. I have taken many awesome photos of my boys there because everywhere you go around there is beautiful. Even the computer area has these super cute turtle mouse's that I added a picture of. Everywhere has paintings on the wall that are amazing. There is a book shelf that is a train that has a speaker box that you can talk through to the end which is a caboose with another speaker box where you can talk back and forth. It is adorable. Also there is a school bus you can pretend to drive.. a firetruck that even has a pretend hose..& a horse and buggy wagon you can pretend to drive too and so sooo much more.

6 year old granddaughter loves seeing the huge rotating Earth globe and the running train in the childrens section. She played with the puppets several times, with the childrens games on the tablets available and all of the stationary imagination items - flying the airplane, driving the school bus, fire truck, railroad engine and the boat, riding in the western wagon and on the horse pulling the wagon. Lots of other items to play with, usually with other children.
