Brought my daughter in while visiting from CA. Her hair had been damaged the last time she got color and Omer was very careful with her hair and obviously incredibly knowledgeable and experienced with color and cut. I wish that I could give 100 stars!!!

I had an emergency.. I forgot my beard trimmer but had an important event.. I needed help… SalonOmer was amazing.. quick help.. I offered cash but they refused .. I’ll pay it forward some other way.. thank you Salon Omer!!!!!

I am someone who is VERY sensitive when it comes to getting a haircut. When I discovered this place I was so happy. I left feeling beautiful and literally everybody complimented my hair. I recommend this place to everyone!!

I've been going to this barber for two years, and I can't recommend them enough! People are very friendly, the pricing is fair, and the cuts are consistently top-notch. Definitely the best in DC!

I went to Omer Salon today in Georgetown DC for the first time today. My longtime stylist Lyonel Moreau—Lyo—has just joined the staff there. Lyo is a genius with scissors—I’m convinced his haircuts are the best of the best. The salon is a pleasant, intimate space, and the couple who own it are warm and friendly. I was in good hands also with Ayda, who washed my hair today without getting water in my ears—yay! Big bonus—if you call in advance, you can park behind the building!

I made an appointment for a simple blow out with a flat iron. Keep in mind, I do have thick curly hair but it’s soft. A bit dry, but soft. I am also a licensed cosmetologist myself and was extremely disappointed in the lack of training that this staff has with diverse hair. I walk in the salon and was greeted by 2 stylists who were working on other clients. They notify a man in the back of the salon that I have arrived and I sat in a chair and waited. I hear the 3 of them chatting about who made the appointment, and the woman said she made the appointment. The man from the back walks up behind me and starts touching my hair and doesn’t say hello. I greet him, and he basically tells me that "we" don’t typically work on this type of hair. That it’s too thick and curly. I said oh, you don’t blow dry curly hair? He said no, but it’s extra ($150 total), like I couldn’t afford that price point. I then asked him if he’s comfortable working with curly hair and his response was, "we don’t usually work with it." I got up and left. I’m extremely saddened that I can’t walk into a salon that has seemingly decent reviews for a BASIC blow dry and iron work. Do not come here if you are a POC. You will be left disappointed, disgusted, and saddened that another salon only has stylists that can work only work on specifically European hair.

Omer is great! He is a true professional and hard worker. He is very accommodating and does a great job hiding my gray hair with highlights and giving me a flattering cut. Omer is the best at styling. I highly recommend Salon Omer!
