What The Hair Salon

I had my first visit last week for a haircut. I’ve been growing my hair out and that is generally a long process to get it looking good. Well, I was really impressed. Tara dealt with my various layers (from when it was short) really well. They really take their time to do a thorough job in this salon. From the shampoo (complete with lovely scalp massage) to the styling it’s a good experience. I’m very happy with the result. It’s also very reasonably priced for what you get.

Honestly one of the best haircuts I’ve ever gotten. For context, I’m an Asian dude with way too much straight thick hair and I usually like getting something that most shops can’t do for some reason. 2 block undercut with some style. Impossible to find in north county from my experience, but boy did I find it today. My stylist was not only amazing, she was precise, thorough and just had the keen sense a professional stylist would. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and I got exactly what I asked for. Super nice ladies, I’m sure they’re all A-1 at their jobs. Left super satisfied and happy I don’t look like Lord Fardquaad anymore. 10/10 would recommend and will be a repeat customer.

Been going here for 8 years for coloring, cut and style. Both stylists do a wonderful job with both men and women, but owner Mindy has been my stylist. She is wonderful and gives great head massages during wash/rinses on the new fancy beds just for that purpose! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing hair salon. Clean and professional environment. Very relaxing as well. I have thick hair and lots of it! My stylist was very kind and patient. She knows what she’s doing. Trust in hair salons restored. Definitely check this place out.

I came here because I just wanted to cut my long hair. I felt like I couldn't style my hair anymore. I gave this place a shot because they had some appointments available, and it seemed like it was a reasonable price compared to other Salons. The stylist was friendly and understood what kind of haircut I wanted based on the pictures I showed her. She even made a few suggestions which I was totally fine with. Once everything wrapped up and I saw my hair, I loved it. It felt like a fresh new start. My haircut was $40, but I gave her $55 because she did an excellent job and took her time with my hair. Overall experience was great.

I hate trying a new place for a hair cut, but based on the reviews, I decided to try What the Hair. My hair was cut by Tara. I watched carefully as she proceeded with care cutting my hair after I told her what I wanted. She was precise with each snip of her scissors. Half way through, I was somewhat concerned, but by the end, I couldn't believe the transformation. The true test was what my wife would think when I got home. She said it was the best hair cut since knowing me, which says a lot since we've been together for 38 years. Well done, Tara! You did a spectacular job and put to shame my previous hair stylist. You are now my hair stylist for life.

The place was clean and Mindy was really friendly. She took her time making sure I was 100% happy with my hair cut. I have a lot of hair and it took a while longer than expected. She didn't rush although she had clients waiting and made sure I left completely satisfied! I'm so glad I found this place! Will be my go-to spot for hair and I want to try their mani and pedi services too because everything looked so clean!
