Casey does the best Razor cuts in Vista! She is EXTREMELY detail oriented. Not one strand of hair will be overlooked. I love that she works on framing my face and not just a universal cut. My hair looks amazing after every single visit. 🙌🏼

I love MOD salon! Sarah is such a wonderful hair artist, if you want more alternative styles. I've never gotten so many compliments as I have when she's cut my hair! Its such a comfortable environment, beautiful studio, and amazing staff!

I came here to get a haircut from Nuria. I chose MOD because I favor salons that emphasize cruelty free products on their website. When you get here, the front door may be locked. You'll need to knock to be let in. Upon entering, the space was intimate and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I was offered a free beverage: wine, a vodka soda, or something else. There were some Kind bars on a table and a pretty hefty pile of holiday donations on the far wall (mostly toys and food items). Very much my vibe. Nuria cheerfully greeted me while she was finishing up with her last customer and I waited for about 15 minutes. I appreciated this because instead of rushing to accommodate me, she took her time to make sure they got the best quality haircut they could, and that made me feel safe knowing she will take her time with me. When it was my turn, I got a nice wash and head massage followed by a great haircut. My hair is thick, straight, and grows quickly, so I love to get short cuts every now and again. Unfortunately, not many stylists are great at layering my ends so I often come out looking like Edna from the Incredibles until my hair grows out for a few months. When I told Nuria I was hoping for some textured layered ends, she touched my hair and said "oh yeah, your hair is thick so you don't want your ends to bunch up." THANK GOD SHE UNDERSTOOD - I felt so seen! From then on, smooth sailing. She was wonderful with her technique and I really enjoyed speaking with her while she was working - she has such a fun personality! Immediately after, I loved the look. Like genuinely loved it. Then I got home and panicked a little and wondered if I made a mistake and if I should change it. Then I gave it a couple of days and a wash, and now I am OBSESSED. Literally everyone at work complimented the cut and told me I need to keep my hair like this forever. When Carlos reached out to ask how I felt about the cut (loved that!), I had nothing but positive things to say. So thanks Nuria! And thank you MOD! I'll definitely be returning.

What an amazing hair salon! It is so refreshing to find a salon that you can feel relaxed and listened to. I took my son, who like alternative haircuts, and the owner/stylist Casey sat down with him and asked what he likes and doesn't like with his hair. She looked through photos and bounced around ideas. This was such a new experience for us. We always feel rushed and nervous and he ends up leaving unheard and unhappy. The cut was exactly what he wanted and we will definitely be back!

I want to thank Casey for a wonderful cut and color! I am 77. I already had short hair when I went in for my appointment . My natural color was drab, mousy brown with some gray at the temples. She brought some life to my face with medium caramel/sand lo- lights and hi- lights. I also wasn’t real clear on the cut that I wanted so, I just said kinda shaggy, pixie-ish, mullet-ish. The great thing is, that the cut she gave me is not dominantly any one of those things, but a blending of all. I love it all so much! Going forward we will try new and different stuff… all for the fun of it. Casey is a warm, inviting person! I don’t think I have ever enjoyed sitting in a salon chair so much! MOD Hair Salon blew me away! Sarah (my stylist) is an artist and knows exactly what she's doing. My hair is thick and straight with a few finnicky cowlicks and often fights; Sarah listened to my advice and concerns and was able to tame and cut my hair with her own artistic flair that helped me feel gorgeous as soon as I walked out of the salon! The salon itself is beautiful and clean, with a comfy waiting area and refreshments on offer. Every member of the team made me feel welcome and happy to be there. A place like this might seem expensive but they blow the big chains out of the water with care, experience, professionalism, and personality. Do yourself a favor and get in here!
