This is my favorite hair salon. Every time I come here I always feel welcome and comfortable. Their customer service is great. They always give snacks, beverages and make sure you’re doing okay with genuine concern. Jessele my hair stylist she does an amazing job. I am a very tender headed person but I never felt like my head was in pain. I usually get two strand twist after every appointment I feel so happy with the work she has done. The twist are done clean, precise and have a wonderful bounce to them. Overall I would most definitely recommend this place to others; and I am grateful for all the work and effort they have done in fostering a safe and welcoming environment.

I went to the salon for the first time to get my hair done, and my initial impression was how well-maintained the space was. It was brightly lit, clean, and well-organized, with the sign-in kiosk, snacks in the waiting area, and products neatly displayed. One of the stylists greeted me and took my coat while I waited. When I was called back, two people worked on my hair while also attending to other clients, which was fine. However, during the process, the comb-through felt a little rushed, and the handling of my hair was a bit rough at times. The stylist did explain some issues with my hair, which led me to decide on getting a cut. The cut itself was good,but my hair ended up extremely straight—straighter than I intended. I usually prefer a bit of body, but since I didn’t mention this beforehand, I just accepted it.Her is soft and manageable. Overall, both stylists were professional and pleasant.i was giving a gift bag for being a new client. The customer service is wonderful.

I found Ms. Ana about 18 months ago when I moved to Silver Spring and wanted someone experienced with curly hair (I’m 2C/3A). The cuts are fantastic and I keep my curls without frizzy layers. Color services have also been great—my strawberry blonde color doesn’t fade much, so it looks good for weeks. The only downside about the salon is the teeny parking lot, but it’s a small price to pay for reliably excellent service.

My experience at this salon was terrible. The so-called natural hair consultation was a marketing gimmick, and they tried to force additional expensive services on me that I didn't ask for. Not sure if the woman I dealt with initially was the owner - she copped such an attitude when I wanted to stick with what I came in for (which was just a hair education and basic hair consultation, as advertised on their website), she literally walked off in a huff. So unprofessional. She got someone else to do my hair, who was sweet and professional (that's the only reason this salon gets any stars from me). However, this stylist was forced to try to upsell me on the products the salon pushes, and she was clearly uncomfortable about doing so. That stylist was the only good part of my experience, so I made sure to tip her well, but I would never go back to that unprofessional salon.

I’ve been going to this hair salon for 5 years. Anamarie is my hairstylist and she’s AWESOME!! The staff are professional and she uses her time wisely. I’m usually in and out within 2 hours. It’s usually a little longer if I’m getting extra things like the steamer or relaxer or color. It’s been a great place and I’m loyal bc they have treated me well.

This is my second visit to Anna Maria. I really like how she takes care of my hair. Her cutting skills are fantastic. The shop is always clean and quiet. The service of the team members is professional, accommodating, and I look forward to going back in eight weeks for my next cut and steam treatment.

I have previously given a review, but I just wanted give an update that these ladies are amazing!!!! They did provided wedding hair services for me, my sisters, my cousin, and my mother this weekend for my wedding. I went on Thursday to get my hair blown out and to do the demo. All I can say is that they went above and beyond to make us look beautiful. They are super kind and helpful! & it's a family run business! Thank you Ana, Skye, and Astra for your help!!
