Tee has been doing my hair since 2019, and my hair has never been healthier. Her first priority is always hair care, and it shows in the strength, shine, and overall health of my hair. She is excellent at her craft—skilled, attentive, and consistent with every appointment. Most importantly, she is very welcoming and pleasant, and the rest of the staff reflects that same warm, professional atmosphere. I always leave feeling confident and well cared for. Highly recommend Tee to anyone who values healthy, beautiful hair.

My service today was soooo disappointing, I booked shampoo, trim and style w/Tee. I started going to this salon in 2018, then of course COVID came and change things. I was able to reconnect with them again in 2024. I was happy to get back in the chair and have Tee to be my stylist (it is very hard to get an appointment with her). By now, I am a faithful client and book every two weeks and being consistent with my appointments. To make sure I stay on schedule and do not loose my seat, I would book my appointment before leaving the salon for the next visit. On May 3rd, I booked before leaving the salon, but I never received confirmation. I really did not think anything of it until it was the day of my appointment. I live on the other side of town (SE DC to be exact) and travel to Silver Spring (which is about a 30-40 min commute) for the service. Because I did not get confirmation and could not get anyone on the phone to confirm my appointment on that day, I did not go and no; they did not charge me for cancelation or no show. Now, after today’s visit I remembered, the last time I received service (April 26th), I declined a wash from one of the staff (in my opinion, she is not a very good washer and I like to tip). Welp the same thing happen today I declined the same staffer to wash my hair and even explained to Tee (stylist/owner) I did not like the way she washes my hair, I was told that was fine I was able to get another staffer who did an amazing job. Now on to my regular service, who I thought was going to be done by Tee and it was not, it was done by another staffer. I did not get an explanation or reason why this staffer was doing my hair or providing me with the service even though I booked with Tee, was it because I declined the service from the washer again, I wonder???. Welp, needless to say, after today’s visit I will not be going back to this salon. It’s unfortunate because I really did like the service. I know that I am not of their nationality and they really don’t respect my race and maybe they ONLY want to service their nationality. Whatever the reason is, I heard YOU loud and clear.

It was my first time visiting this salon to get my hair straightened with Yene, and I had an amazing experience! The customer service was excellent, and the attention to detail was impressive. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Looking forward to returning! This was my second visit to Arif Hair as my go-to hairstylist was unavailable. During both visits, everyone on the team was so kind, patient and attentive. The ladies who do washes are unmatched! They spend time massaging the hairline and nape, do a thorough clean, detangle and condition, and are gentle with blow drying. Today was my first experience getting a curl with Tizeta and she’s so kind. Her hands are surprisingly quick for her thoroughness and maneuvering of thick hair. I appreciate that she took time to ask me questions about my regimen, how I handle my natural hair etc. I told her I try not to put too much heat on my hair, and I was glad she only did two passes, sometimes even one with the straightener on my hair for a looser, wave look.I’m so pleased with the results. ♥️🙏🏾

My new go to salon. They did a great job on my 4C hair. I recommend for anyone with thick hair. The wash was everything too. I booked online and chose the owner as my stylist

I visited this salon on Friday 7/26 after making an appointment online for an extension removal. My appointment was for 2pm. I went there and they told me it's not in their system so I showed them the confirmation email. Being new to the area, I had to wait and wasn't seen until after 4pm. They removed my extension and wouldn't even wash my hair due to the time being late. Good customer service would be to accommodate me and wash my hair because I waited on them for hours. My advice for the owner/manager is to do better. This is outrageous. Also, for customers I would recommend that you do not rely on the online booking system to confirm your appointment. Make sure you call before. I'm not going back there, but if you choose to take my advice or you'll be there for hours waiting to be seen like I did. However, I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.
