I’ve been going to Johnny for almost 20 years, and he’s the only person I fully trust to cut or shape my hair. Every cut I’ve had with him has grown out beautifully, and my hair always feels healthier in the months that follow. I had the best experience at Salon JKU! I was greeted at the front desk and the atmosphere of the salon was so clean and welcoming. I was then greeted by Amelia and she took her time to understand what I wanted to do with my hair. She gave me the best layers and haircut I have ever had! She also gave me some great advice and tips about my hair which I greatly appreciated. I got many compliments on my haircut and am looking forward to coming back for my next haircut!

The best hair color service I’ve ever received in my entire life! As my experiences, I have really thick black hair which all the hairstylists I’ve had before really struggled with to get it dyed or bleached and unfortunately the results never came out as I wanted it to be. I’ve never been satisfied with any of my hair coloring done before until I met Seiko. Her skill is beyond awesome and I get amazed so much every single time she does my hair. I usually show her some pictures of hair color samples that I want on my hair beforehand and boom, I’ll see myself in a mirror with that exact color I was talking about! I still don’t understand how she does that with my hair but this is my first time experiencing the hair salon happiness that people are talking about! Their excellent work is also very efficient too! I had to move to another state but I still visit salon JKU whenever I have a chance to go back to Philadelphia for their beautiful work. I highly recommend this great place salon JKU!

I highly recommend Salon JKU. I came in to get my roots touched up from brown to platinum blonde and Seiko and her team pulled off the job flawlessly. I have been to many different salons and I can say that this one is world class. The service is friendly and professional and the interior is bright, clean, and contemporary. It is a very nice place to spend a few hours. Most importantly, Seiko did a wonderful job listening to my needs and the results came out beautifully. I get tons of compliments on my color and I love the way it looks day by day. There is some real talent and passion here. Try them! Tip: The salon is not on ground level. Look for the street address and then enter the building and go up the elevator to find the salon. It is not easy to find if you are looking for a sign that says Salon JKU, but the benefit is a great view while having a little distance from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Love Salon JKU! I go to Mami for hair coloring and scalp massage, and Yukari for hair cut, and they both are amazing!! I no longer have to wait for a year to get my hair cut and coloring until I go back to Japan! Not only their talents for coloring, hair cut, and scalp massage are excellent but also their customer service is wonderful. Other staff at Salon JKU are also very nice and overall great experience there. Thank you to everyone at Salon JKU!

I am so grateful Salon JKU has brought this level of talent to Philadelphia! I used to go to NYC for color, but Seiko is literally the best colorist I have ever been to. Hair treatments are amazing, everyone is really nice and very professional.
