Salon Orchard

Jax is great! And Salon Orchard is a lovely little space. I've been looking for a curly hair stylist since mine left the neighborhood. I have very thick, partly curly, partly frizzy hair and Jax knew exactly what to do. She took her time to make sure the cut was perfect. She's also a very interesting person so talking with her was fun. She knows her curly hair stuff, has been trained by the "specialists" but also does her own thing, which I prefer. I'm very happy with my hair and will definitely become a regular.

I recently moved to the city and have been very nervous about finding a new person to cut my curly hair. After looking at some photos and reviews, I booked with Jax. I'm so glad I did! She is incredibly talented, patient, and detail-oriented. I was so impressed with how particular she was with perfecting the cut, and the results are incredible. It washes beautifully, my hair is bouncy and curly, and it air-dries great. Low maintenance, and I can brush out my curls for a wavy look. I really appreciate the versatile and easy to take care of cut. I highly recommend Jax!!

Jax really is fantastic! The way she does my color (blonde highlights on brown hair) really looks great. Subtle look - never leaves streaks/stripes. I like going to this salon because it is small I am super comfortable and great great service. Jax will be doing my color for my wedding!!

I have been getting my hair cut by Jax for the better part of a year now. I'm a man with curly hair and some thinning, so there's some inherit challenge to working with my hair texture. Jax cut my hair quickly, and without fuss. The haircut came out great. She's super nice and professional, and even takes notes between appointments. Only thing to know is that you can't tip on card, so bring cash or Venmo.

I've been coming to Salon Orchard for 2 years since stumbling onto it. I couldn't find a salon in New York that had stylists who really listened to me until I came here! I've gone back again and again and trust every one of their stylists to give me exactly what I'm looking for. Jax gave my highlights new life with a partial balayage! She was so great at blending my lived-in highlights into a beautiful set of Fall colors that I'm confident will grow out beautifully. She even went the extra mile and lightened up my overall color to further blend them, since she knew I was worried about things looking striped. I couldn't be happier with my hair for the change of the season. Last photo is the "before"!

Such a cute spot in my neighborhood! I’ve gone to korynn a few times now and she’s given me my absolute favorite haircut of my life. Love it here 🙂

Male barber cut: Shinobu is an amazing stylist. Love her cuts. My go to for sure.
