The haircut quality was very poor. I showed the stylist a reference photo and pictures of myself, but he didn't cut my hair the way I wanted. I told him a couple of times and showed him photos during the process, but... I look terrible, my hair is uneven 🤯 I don't recommend it! 1st photo my reference 2nd photo QM master 💀

I’m not one to leave reviews, but I felt I had to. Very poor customer service. Barber clearly had an attitude and refused my request. I asked to cut the back first then I’d let him know if the length was still too long, but he said he wanted to get it over with in one go. He was very aggressive when cutting my hair and kept on forcefully moving my head. When I paid I said I wanted to tip 10% and he responded that he preferred a 20% tip. I refused and he eventually went down to asking for $5 for the tip. Overall haircut was okay, could’ve been better if it wasn’t rushed. Barber completely forgot about my sideburns. For $40 you would expect a much higher quality service. If you’re looking for a good haircut or good customer service this is not the place.

I got my hair cut here, a clean and nice trim by this asian lady. I’ve forgotten her name, but she told me she was from Malaysia. I was very specific in asking for the type of haircut that I wanted, but she was very patient and I can tell that she’s very skilled. A couple months ago I got my hair cut here by a male, but he was rude and very inconsiderate of what I wanted specifically. I passed by this salon again yesterday and decided to give it another try—though with a different stylist now, this lady. She’s exceeded my expectations and made my hair look fresh while always maintaining a professional demeanor.

I don’t usually write hair salon reviews, but this time I was really impressed. I got my haircut on Thursday, by a nice lady, Lisa! She had a good smile when I got into the store. I signed my name and waited around 10 minutes to get my haircut. I’m happy she called my name get a haircut with her. She gives me nice layered cut with a nice face framing pieces, adding a good amount of volume. It’s was an excellent experience and I would recommend her to my friends.

I came here earlier in the week because I wanted to have my hair done by an expert and stop cutting it myself. Lisa was available and enthusiastic to help. I was so relaxed while she cut my hair; we talked about things going on in the city while she also asked me about what I normally do with my hair and made some suggestions. I was so satisfied with the experience that it didn't even feel like a service; more like visiting a friend who took care of me in a way only such experienced hands (over 20 years experience at that) could. For how light my hair is, it just felt amazing. Go. Ask for Lisa. You will get your money's worth, have a great conversation, maybe have a laugh too; and the rest of your day will just feel BETTER.

I usually get a haircut here and the one in Flatiron. And the quality goes back and forth too much. I know it is express barber shop and NYC so nobody expects a high end haircut but since they earn $35 + tip they should provide a better and more consistent quality. This time at Downtown(Luke or Cam in the schedule) is one of my worst experience since the barber saw the picture I showed and asked for the lengths of side and top and he cut everything with poor quality. There was no line but seemed he just focused on speed rather than quality. He did not even ask about the style of sideburns. I don’t expect the stylish haircut but at least meeting the bare minimum and it went lower. If you want to make $35 + tip this is not the quality expected. I would blame myself for not going to better barber shop with higher price this time.
