The consistency of service here is truly unmatched. I am always beyond satisfied with my cut and color, but it’s Saori’s expertise that keeps me coming back. She is incredibly patient, creative, and—most importantly—protective of my fragile, breakable hair. Her technique is exceptionally gentle, which is a rare find. My only complaint is that I don’t live closer; if I did, I’d be in her chair every other week!

I've visited Mingle Soho NY twice this year and have had great experiences! I first visited in July to receive their $15 bang cut service. It ended up being $20.90 after taxes (not including tip). I don't remember the stylist's name, but it was very quick and exactly what I wanted. I asked for curtain bangs and face framing pieces. You can see the green photo below! Recently, I got a haircut and a cold perm from Saori. I paid in cash, so I forgot the exact amount, but it was around $170 after taxes (not including tip). My appointment was at 4pm and I left at 6:20pm; the duration is relative though depending on how much of a curl you want if you're getting a perm. Again, I got exactly what I wanted with virtually no hair damage, and left very happy! You can see the red photo below.

I saw recommendations on social media and decided to try out Mingle soho. I booked with Sayuri in the beginning of august and arrived promptly during my appointment time. She greeted me and was very nice. We started washing hair and it was very basic no thrill - 1 shampoo 1 conditioner, not the most gentle but gets the job done. I would say the wash was definitely below average and my shirt was wet, but I’m here for haircut so it’s okay if the wash isn’t the best. I showed her pictures of style I have in mind - layers that start high, so it would give me some volume and frame my face nicely. She was hesitant to say yes/no but said she can fix my current layers. After a 10-15 min haircut, she decided to start blow drying and styling my hair, which originally caught me by surprised but my old stylist would perfect the cut after the hair is dry so I let her be. After that, she just removed the haircut apron and told me she was finished with her service (didn’t quite ask me if I wanted to fix anything) The appointment I had was 12-1 pm, but I was effectively out of the door (paid and everything by 12:36pm) I came home and washed my hair the next day, and found out besides 2 inches shorter, my hair is really exactly opposite of what I asked for- dull and straight, somehow less volume than before and layers were super low and weighted my hair down even more. (See pictures) Though she was nice and the price was reasonable (53 for haircut, and I tipped 25 on top of that), I will not recommend or return for their service

One of the best haircut experiences I’ve had. No frills kind of place and reasonable prices. Jimmy is gentle, listens well, and is great at what he does. Highly recommend!

pulled up and got the worst haircut i ever got in ny by hiromi. I asked for her recommendation on styles she just replied "you can do what you want i don’t care" and also asking if i can get zeroes on my sides she said "i’ve never done zeros before". I mean the overall attitude was just like she didn’t care lol. Anyway i found out it’s because my phone number was inputted wrongly and they couldn’t confirm my booking so i get this type of treatment. not going back lol. oh but it’s cheap tho

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this hair salon! Sayuri did an amazing job cutting my hair. She was incredibly kind and patient, taking the time to listen to my requests and ensuring that she understood exactly what I wanted. Her attention to detail was impeccable, and she cut my hair with such care and precision. I couldn't be happier with the result! Sayuri's expertise and professionalism truly shine through in her work. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a fantastic haircut.

Debated leaving a review for a while because I didn’t want to negatively impact the business, but every time look in a mirror and see my hair it makes me upset. I asked for face framing and long layers, and left with really short, choppy and uneven layers that were not blended at all. I couldn’t tell when I left the salon because of the styling, but as soon as I washed it I realized how bad it was. Unfortunately really cannot recommend going here.
